We brought our K1 (4+) to the preview. She enjoyed the following :
1) Watching street performances (especially magdagascar crew). She imitated the penguins dancing "I want to move it move it"… and is so excited to hear the song on the TV. But she also enjoyed other performances and I believe the water show would be a show that you can bring the 4+ to as well. Though it can exciting.
2) Jurassic park. There are some kiddy rides
3) Magdagascar (merry go around look alike rides)
4) Faraway land. Seeing the castle and I suppose the rides there should be fine for the young ones.
5) Meeting characters. She is wierd as in she is so scared of them unless daddy carries her. When we brought her to dreamworld in december, she refused to take pic with Dora as Dora was "too big" for her. I didn’t have this problem with my 2 older kids when they were younger.
6) Near return of the mummy, they had those cars that go around and the real life looking hippo would move, etc… So this is something that 4+ would enjoy.

MMM:
Do share your experience on the hotel stay.
We stayed in Festive Hotel on last Thursday for one nite....Rate is $300++ for weekdays and $500++ for weekends. The hotel is very nicely done up and the family room is very spacious....Besides the king size bed and loft bed, there is still a queen size sofa bed..lighting in the room is in nice color....my girl enjoyed so much....the loft bed is quite high but after a while, she is handling it well...We did not allow her to sleep by herself in the loftbed cos we are worried she might woke up in the middle of the nite and may forgotten she is actually in a loft bed...kekeke...She enjoyed it very much...kid is also given a kids welcome pack upon check-in....Swimming pool in the hotel is not ready but you can go to HardRock Hotel for a good swim....We did that too....
Talking about the universal studio, the most enjoying part for me is the 4D Shrek movie....really entertaining, scary and fun....she was scared from the beginning....but i coaxed her to try to enjoy it and after that she was okay....Donkey LIVE is not that fantastic....It was like a sing along with Shrek's sidekick donkey in an interactive \"live show\" She took a few different rides in the park -Canopy Flyer, Magic Potin Spin- ferris wheel, King Julien's Beach Party Go Round- crazy carousel, Accelerator - spinning, twirling action....In the nite, its nice to walk around the resort...we went to watch the performance- Lake of Dreams...musical extravagana where fire, water and light are the star of the show.
My girl is so happy and keep asking me: Mummy, why are we only staying one nite....why not 2 nite, 3 nite or 4 nite....?? I told her only if I know how to print money...hahahha.... I feel that from age 4 is a good age to bring them to theme park.....We went to Taipei last Novemeber and she was also enjoying herself in Taipei Zoo watching the Panda and even in the small world and travelling with no complains...But when she was around 3, we brought her to HK Disneyland and she was still not enjoying so much....still grumpy and needs the afternoon nap..... -
HappyAvon:
We have booked a room in Festive hotel on 1st Apr and will be bringing our girl to the universal studio....Anyone can recommend what a 4+ girl could do in the park?? We have booked the family room in festive hotel with the loft bed...I know she will love this! This is actually a birthday treat for her....
HI HappyAvon,
Festive Hotel is nice but I am not into the Loft bed...look dangerous to me, maybe it is becos my kids are all too active..afraid that they might fall. -

anyone has any feedback on USS since it has officially opened ?
Chengcab, sori but correction, USS has not officially opened, it is still in the soft opening period. My family visited last Thu (2nd day of opening) and has only good things to say about it.
We enjoyed our day very much even though it rained that afternoon.
If you wished to find out more on USS fans review, you can see them at http://www.facebook.com/ResortsWorldatSentosa?v=wall -

Universal Studios Singapore has closed a popular ride, Battlestar Galactica, for the time being due to a technical glitch.
The ride will be closed for at least a few days for a complete inspection.
The spokesman for the theme park, Robin Goh, said a technical problem was detected on one of the ride vehicles during the park's daily pre-opening testing on Thursday morning.
\"In keeping with our commitment to employee and guest safety, the ride was immediately closed and will not be operating until we determine the cause and solution,\" Goh said.
Experts from the ride's design, engineering and manufacturing company are assisting the ride and show team in the inspection.
\"No one was injured and all the proper authorities were notified, which is a standard Universal Studios Singapore operating policy,\" said Goh.
He stressed that employee and guest safety is the number one priority.
All rides go through a daily series of detailed inspections and testing before the park opens to ensure that all the safety systems are functioning properly.
\"No ride will be operated at any time unless it has passed all daily inspections and tests,\" Goh said.
\"We understand some guests may be disappointed. However, the safety of our employees and guests remains our top priority,\" he added.
Police said the safety authorities will work with Universal Studios Singapore to determine the cause of the problem.
It must also recommend rectification measures and re-certify the safety of the ride, before the licence can be reinstated. - CNA

I don't mean to be rude but everytime Robin Goh appears on tv, I always wonder why RWS didn't pick someone else.
Even my 7 year old asked me why he talks like that.
I have nothing against g*ys really, but :imconstipated: the way he talks... -

I know exactly what you mean! I get the goosepimples too whenever he is interviewed! :!:I don't mean to be rude but everytime Robin Goh appears on tv, I always wonder why RWS didn't pick someone else.

I thought otherwise. Robin is VERY suitable for this role.
Robin is always so exicted, so positive, like having lots of fun. Just the right spokeperson for theme park.
I recall seeing his interview during the rained out opening, his spirit was not dampened, and reminded that xx% of the park is covered, and people who are already a little wet don’t mind going for the fun water rides.
