Unapologetically extravagant and palatial, Capitol Kempinski Hotel's flagship dining establishment 15 Stamford pulsates with effervescent lighting, svelte décor, decadent fittings albeit a somewhat intemperate proclivity for antiquity. Breakfast which happens daily from 6.30am-10.30am largely features Asian fare augmented by a modest selection of danishes, cereals and dairy based creations.

Hotel Clover The Arts Review: Nothing more than an overglorified budget hotel

In our opinion this wouldn't even qualify as a boutique hotel, instead it is at best just another budget iteration excessively dolled up with works of art (paintings done on walls, lift landings and guest room doors) in a bid to stand out from other properties in the Clarke Quay district.

Customer service was dismal and almost non-existent. Just a sullen young man at a counter who briefly administered the checking in process before vanishing into the tiny back office. A single lift services all 5 floors of the hotel, with tight corridors to navigate and an access key card that wouldn't work properly at times.

The room we were assigned was The Arts King, god knows why it is named as such. Just a bland mural of birds splashed across the wall above the headboards and a small pretentious table-chair set squeezed into the available space right in front of the physical bed area. One will also encounter a pathetic excuse of a LED TV delivering poor quality images and limited channels of programming. Free Wi-fi was provided, however reception was terribly spotty and in the end we turned it off altogether out of immense frustration.

D’Resort @ Downtown East appears adequately poised to meet the needs of budget conscious staycationers it chiefly targets: behold one massive nature-inspired holiday compound featuring 387 units and suites (across 9 room categories in two separate residential blocks) that comes equipped with a mega water park, barbeque pits, sky garden facility and various event spaces.

(Write Up By Hotels And Photos)

Sipping countless cold beers, strolling aimlessly inside malls for hours till kingdom come, doing lap after lap in some godforsaken public pool yada yada yada......... if these rinse and repeat methods of beating the heat in wretchedly hot Singapore scream utterly boring, might dropping vertically from 4 stories high at speeds of up to 50 ft/s at a mega water park perhaps be right up your alley? Should you answer in the affirmative, then welcome to Wild Wild Wet, where its immense trove of exhilarating rides shall make one forget about 'em roasting temperatures in a jiffy.

Singapore's first ever salt water relaxation pool debuted at The Capitol Kempinski, an ultra posh hotel (envisioned by Pritzker architecture prize laureate Richard Meier) which spans two exquisitely restored heritage buildings sited within the downtown civic district. Lush foliage seen surrounding on 3 sides plus one classy, expansive arched glass canopy shielding it against the elements recalls to mind a natatorium of sorts, this particular affair however being far smaller and more intimate.

The profusely elemental, somewhat existentialist Ji Hotel Orchard Singapore is seen pursuing back to basics with a luxury twist; its well-lit, simple wood and grey accented guest rooms are thus responsible for ever so zennish undercurrents swirling at large - these alongside a queen bed, 65-inch IPTV, LED touch screen vanity mirror plus smart shower system prevailing in each.

                        Hello,

We are a group of SMU undergraduates carrying out a project for Wildlife Reserves Singapore. It will be greatly appreciated if parents with kids aged 1 to 12 years old take 3 minutes to respond to a survey by following the link below:
