Ouch. That is a really great price. I was hunting for such books as these can be quite fun reads, and it is not quite possible to finish in 3 weeks (borrow from library that is) unless one is mugging for exam.hquek:
OH! Busymom. How much were those going for? I bought 'the busy science of you' at the page one closing down sale (half price then). just Kay poh.

I think it should be the 5 for $30 range, unless it is priced separately. -

Depending on how many you buy: 1 for $8, 3 for $20 or 5 for $30.
I had a few of these books free as every $50 purchase comes with 1 book free. Then I had another 3 bought at $20... a bit stupid, now that I think about it, should have taken another 2 books to make it 5... -

Think it was the second last rack or last rack, facing front and nearer to the cashier. Not that many, probably 5 books or so? These are the thick ones with like 10 stories in each book.
oh...i couldnt find Horrid Henry at there. where they put it?Busymom:
Went to the book fair last Fri. Only had time for Times. Quite a bit of baby books at $3 or $4. Many lower primary children books at $3, $4 or $5 too - the usual fairies stories, some titles from Horrible Science and Horrible Histories, Murderous Math, Henry's House, The Secrets of Droom, Ready Freddy, Nancy Drews, Horrid Henry, Enid Blyton adventure stories and many non-friction books.
For myself, am particularly happy with my purchase of the large colour-printed Horrible Science books and the graphic novel of The Little Prince, plus some titles here and there from various series. Spent $160 in total, considered mild compared to some of my previous purchases at book fairs.

No, I got them at last year's Popular Bookfest. I didn't have time to venture to any other store at the World Book Fair, so not sure if anyone was selling them. Sorry, couldn't help you there.
Busymom, did you get the Survival series at World Book Fair too? I definitely did not see it around. A fren is interested and asking, so if you happen to know which store and price, would appreciate if you can drop a note on this thread. Thank you.Busymom:
Buds, think there are a number of authors. I see Hong Jae-Cheol for some, and Choi Duk-Hee in others. As long as you see the word Survival would be correct liao.
I actually bought some in Chinese... Hopefully am not too ambitious that DD would be able to read them at some point...

Agree, great price, but not all books are that pristine in condition. But better than those I saw in the closing down sale of Borders at Parkway. Regret getting some of those books back then. -
Survival series I believe now only Popular carries them. These are actually translated from Korean by a company in Malaysia.

Hi, I've bought an extra copy of Horrible Science Annual 2010 by mistake (brand new).
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=%5Dhorrible+science+annual+2010
Would like to exchange for the Horrible Science of You instead.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_15?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=the+horrible+science+of+you&sprefix=The+horrible+sc%2Cstripbooks%2C646
Anyone keen to do the exchange? Please PM me. Thanks -
Hquek & Busymom,
Need your advice. Iβm trying to buy some Survival books for my cousinβs kid, but price is a deterrent factor so I can only buy limited number of books. Can you please kindly advise which are the titles you find contents and more info which are interesting? Thank you so much.
