BOOK Fairs

Hi pen88, for me, it all boils down to what topic the child likes…sorry but I haven’t actually read through all those books. Let us know and I’ll check with my kid which is the better one. Oh yes, how old is the child also. Some of those books are a tad cheem, younger kids may catch no ball.

Kid in P3 this year. Somehow did not quite want to read books with more words. Cousin said his favourite is Zac Power spy stories currently (the thin books), but I felt that is really too simple for his P3 standard.
So I thought of getting him interested in comics with science facts and start moving from there. -
Pen88n:
I have an extra copy of The Horrible Science of Everything.. Same like you, bought extra by mistake as the cover is different colour and design. LOL, old flower eyes...Hi, I've bought an extra copy of Horrible Science Annual 2010 by mistake (brand new).

Would like to exchange for the Horrible Science of You instead.

Anyone keen to do the exchange? Please PM me. Thanks

Agree with Hquek that it would depend on the child's interest. DD hasn't read too many yet as I have just started passing some of them to her. Let me ask her tomorrow if she has any comments on the books. For boys, maybe topics like space, germs, cave might be of interest?Hquek & Busymom,
Need your advice. I'm trying to buy some Survival books for my cousin's kid, but price is a deterrent factor so I can only buy limited number of books. Can you please kindly advise which are the titles you find contents and more info which are interesting? Thank you so much. -
ha! someone must be clairvoyant…penguin book sale is coming to Expo.
8-10 June.
Singapore Expo Hall 6B.
10am to 9.30pm.
The advert mentioned it’s only once every 3 years. So will I see a lot of fellow kspers there? -
Busymom:
Spoke with DD. She has so far read Survival in a Glacier, Survival in a Dessert, and now reading Survival in the Amazon Jungle. She found the comics fun to read, but science facts wise, she said she already knows them  Maybe these few are the easier ones? Try going for those which are slightly thicker, could have more science content.

Do they have different pricing or content more?

Will go home and check the Horrible Science book before I revert. Somehow I think I already have that particular book but better to see and confirm.
