SAHM_Tan - Never tried ordering from fishpond before... many thanks, will check it out!
autumnbronze - my recent purchase fr booksdepo (juz last mth) took 3 weeks. -
Went to the Times book sale. Need time to find books becos fiction and non-fiction are mixed and bks are not exactly arranged by age for children’s books. I was there in the afternoon and there were boxes of books not unpacked yet, so there might be more titles tmr.
A surprise find at Metro sales, next door, games based on Eric Carle’s titles They are selling from $8-$25. -
Ya as of 6pm, they were still unpacking… they actually hv a section of VALUE BUYS but too bad, couldnt stay long to see what they have in store.
Only saw few big hardcover books (Julia Donaldson) going for $9 (u.p. > $20).
Most children books are btw $3-$9 and different promo for other more ex books (1 for $8, 2 for …)
I managed to get a book at $6 when the whole stack of the same book were tagged at $9 at another section. Some storybooks from the same series can be at $3 and some at $4… thk their price tags alittle mixed up. -
Ya, the pricing might be a bit mixed up. I bought a bk for $4 but saw same title for $10

Overall, the books seem pricier than other fairs. Some horrible series titles seen but those are $6 a piece. I think it’s only good if one is looking for non fiction titles, those may not be available in other fairs. Also good for kiddy books, eg saw some Diego titles at $2 a book, and a fair number of picture books.
Actually the value buys are the same price as those on the other tables, so I still dun geddit why it’s value buys.
Saw some dr Seuss DVD/computer cds that I’ve never seen before. Those are about $12-13 a title.
I got some non fiction titles and a couple of classics. Otherwise not much finds. -
Hi there!
When is the sale until??
Is it at the expo?
Am going over to my mom’s place in the east tomorrow, thinking of dropping by if I can. -
