Hi Imami,

The up to 40% discount is store wide. The sales at EXPO is up to 80% -
For children’s books, e promo is $3/bk for US$3.99 and below category… $5/bk for US$4.99-US$6 category (or $20 for 5 books)…etc. It is same as the last MPH bookfair promo.
The queue was very long when i was there… consistently more than 100 pax in the Q and they only hv 4 cashiers…I waited at least 45mins…
Selection wise, i find more chapter books than picture books (for preschoolers).
And like what hquek mentioned, mostly fictional books, hardly see any non-fictional ones except the usual Usborne series. -

I have to stop buying more books - running out of space to \"hide\" them  ! Will go nag DD to let go more of her series :slapshead: so that can find shelf space :evil:autumnbronze:
The bookfair will only start at 3pm. So far, past sales have been quite alright but it depends on what you want to get. MPH is better for fiction titles.
There is MPH bookfair!!!
I will be at bedok area. Will drop by in a while.
!
Yeah, scared of going liao.. two new big book shelves almost filled up again and excesses are once again spilling out everywhere... :imdrowning:

Saw quite many little men and little miss titles. Dr Seuss readers (NOT learning library). A to Z mystery. Charlie small. Magic treehouse. Good choice for intermediate readers
-
Only 2 cashiers. Long queue but not scary. There was a point when cashier smacking mozxies, then all start queue

Got the mag already. Yes, looks like this is the one & only discount for this year, so no more for Nov/Dec. Remember they also didn't give the discount this Jun hol? Wonder why the change in policy in giving the 20% discount during the long hols though...
Yep, I received SMS fro Popular about this too.....but :scratchhead: why not year end - does that mean no year end 20% discount now??? I so  - looking forward to that discount!!!j.a.m.:
Fyi, latest Popular magazine, POPCLUB, is out and comes with the much appreciated 20% gift certs. Valid from 31/08/2012 to 30/09/2012.
According to their sms, this is the \"one & only for 2012\".
Wish it's for year end though...
I looked forward to the year-end discount too. Just nice for stock taking and stocking up stationery and school stuff for the new academic year. Sep just doesn't gel for me, short hol busy with school camp and tons of hw, then it's back to school with SA2 looming up...
