      Yo Buds

Have you personally 'experienced' Montessori For Children at Newton?

I recce-ed the place today. Finally it is one place with 3-h work cycle! It looks so sweet to see all the kid working together (yet separately), or older kids helping the younger ones, & children going to the loo by themselves so independently etc. It's like \"my books came to life!\"

But it's soooo expensive! I can probably wing it, but what if I have No. 2? :nailbite:

Do you know any.. ANY other Montessoris which are similar but are a bit cheaper? Any bit cheaper will help pay for diapers :moneyflies:

Yo jules.. Nope. Never recced. Never had reason to. Too far off for moi.

Books came to life huh? Look how excited you are there now...
Now now jules... firstly wipe that drool off your chin.

You are definitely pre-empting the scenario with a maybe #2... sooo...
you reali gotta weigh the pros and cons. If your child CAN resume with
the place even with #2 in say until next year... he hasn't even reached
kindy stage yet... and you're gonna \"cry\" your eyeballs out when you
hafta make the big cut... and your DS is gonna have to adapt again in
another place. I remember you saying you prefer one place till graduate
            right?

Err.. quickly toilet train? So problem solved? šŸ˜‰

Heard that Blossom Montessori has similar cycle but recently got takeover
with new management. They are kindy set up (longer hours) but all the
way in Holland. Down where you are... nope. None that i've heard ppl
            rave about.

                I love that.. šŸ˜‰

                      Yay!
Can, can. Clean, safe, reasonable charges, no problem!

Transport, should be ok if I schedule it before my 2 older sons are dismissed from sch. (You also have 2 older ones right?)

Ahhh, good, I am getting excited.

Just to confirm, you are at CCK?

If not, after I get so excited, I find you are at Katong or Changi, I can forget it. 😢

                        *gulp*

                        Really arh? 😐

i think smwhere earlier in this thread u said ure nw in cck? i'm at jurong. šŸ™‚
                        :politebleah: Nope. :politebleah:

                        Just shifted. šŸ˜‰
                        buds:
Wait.. who are you again? Hehee..
                        kabalevsky:
i just joined this thread cos my dd is almost 13mth, looking 4 playgp ard jurong, v hard to find. came in ksp to do some research, found lots of info here...

I see.. so most days you were just lurking around and playing catch up issit?
(ie. catch up on reading) Never seen you around here before. šŸ˜‰
                        kabalevsky:
but still can't find suitable PG near west. i prefer parent-accompanied cos dd still young, and also, if monte, prefer pure one, or at least longer time spent on monte materials. don't want all the other stuff...
There's a Montessori cc at JW Ext (Recreation Centre) that may be able to do
just a few hour session in the PM subject to availability of course. Last i heard
they were FULL! :!: Think it's MMI.

There's also one beside Sakura.. The Enrichment Hub. They have one outlet in
Yew Tee CC as well. But they adopt the multimedia-styled-approach which i
find rather cool. I think 2-hr lessons for PG.

There's a Montessori kindy at Ichiban Kindergarten CCK & also Blossom Montessori in Holland.
                        kabalevsky:
so, can open class??? please? šŸ™
                        buds:
                        Think first..

                        kabalevsky:
anyway your baby will be up and about pretty soon, so you wld need to teach her also rt? hahaha idea, hor?

Where got soon? And hor... it's a boy. Not ah-ger. šŸ˜‰
                        kabalevsky:
then you can do multi-age monte with all those here, all begging you for PG
                        Yes! Very good idea!

                        Next year?

Cause that's only when he's up and about..
He's not even 2 mths yet lei.. 😐
                        kabalevsky:
i checked out MMI JW Ext, MMI JW (st 51), and almost all the other 18mth classes around here. not trials but just go and have a look, that kind... still can't find wt i want.
What's not there that you are seeking...? 😐

Do share.. so i oso can reflect on my own ahemm... future programme. šŸ˜‰
                        kabalevsky:
[i guess i'm looking for sth like wt jul04 said, more hands on with the monte materials, no worksheet/ acad things...
                        Really arh?

Then, you're godsent parents that Montessori educators all over adore.
Most times we have parents who do not believe in what we do and questions
the time the children spend with us... saying the children are doing nothing &
wasting time... either just playing on their own... or worse... seemingly doing
                        nothing. Sigh.. šŸ˜ž
                        kabalevsky:
[like that, considered fussy ah??? :?
                        Nope. šŸ˜‰

                        Consider very good liao! :celebrate:
