Else is get maid to look after him... -
My son recently has been clapping hands non stop. He can’t focus and avoid us if we ask him to sit on chair. If I bring him to see OT, can OT train him to focus better and reduce his stimming (clapping hands)? Any recommendation for OT? Thanks.

Claps hands = stimming ?'!

A few months old diagnosed autistic ??? -
As I quieten down to close off another year, I think about what the year has been about for us with a special needs child.
It has been about struggles, as we fight one battle after another.
It has been about joy, as we laugh about the amazing things that our children do.
It has been about fears, as we make decisions into the unknown on behalf of our children.
It has been about triumph, as we look at what our children have achieved.
It has been about tears, as we face rejections from those who do not understand.
It has been about appreciation, as we are enriched by those who lend a kind heart.
It has been about support, as we draw on one another’s strengths.
It has been about anger, as we continue to be denied.
It has been about faith, as we strengthen our belief in our children.
It has been about pain, as we see our children falter despite their greatest efforts.
It has been about courage, as we drop the seemingly essential non-essentials.
It has been about peace, as we choose to believe that there will always be hope.
Our lives are not perfect, but worth celebrating, for all the things that we have gained or lost.
Open more doors in the heart, and we shall see more clearly.
To a good year ahead.
