      chibi:
      hey all!!

havent log in for a while 😄
was hospitalized a few months ago as i was having severe morning sickness and had dehydration. i am preggie with # 3 now!! and will be giving birth in a few months time. 🕺
my DD1 who has high functioning autism now in Pri.2 already actually gives me alot of support during this period of time. when she sees me carry DS2 , who is 2 yrs old, she will goes, mummy do you want me to help carry? i am worried about you and bb.
and just 2 days ago, my maid was taking a shower and DS#2 woke up from his nap crying, i have to carry him around to stop him from crying, my DD1 actually came up to me and ask me, can you manage? and quickly run outside to the bathroom and shouted: Auntie!! didi is crying! can you shower abit faster and come out to help plse?
i was so touched. my DD1 has showed alot of empathy in my opinion.
She has been helping me apply stretch mark cream on my belly every night now and feeling her little sister in my tummy moving, she also goes\" wow!!! my little mei mei is moving! so amazing!!!\" :snuggles:
i never regretted having her tho at times she really need quite abit of attention from me.
but poor DD1 has been sick for the past week, had chest infection and can only go back to school next week. 😢
      chibi, congrats on #3!

Your doter is really 懂事, and that's really remarkable. I remember her as the one to say 'sorry' because she didnt don her school uniform?

Good to see that you are doing fine. BTW, I dont see many parents with doters of about the same age at this thread. The closest that I can find is yours at P2. Mine is 6 yo this year.

Do stay in touch so that we can exchange notes.

        Chibi

Must be really heartwarming to hear all these from your gal. I hope one day, when my boy is at your girl’s age, he will say all these to me too.

Our family just came back from a trip in Taipei. And my boy kept throwing tantrums in the first 3 days demanding for this and that and refusing to bath when we returned to the hotel. He only became better after I gave him the ultimatum on the 3rd night of our trip. But through this trip, I feel that he can now play and respond better to his sister. He will follow his sister’s instructions and attempt to touch her on the shoulder when playing. But he still doesn’t know how to strike a conversation with his sister.

          Hi ImMeeMee & Double E,

my girl at times will also \"give me nonsense\" , like when i send her to school in the morning, she will say i will prefer to go to the maingate not the side gate, because side gate got rubbish bin smell!!!
          sigh sigh.
have to take it with a laugh at times .
i brought my daughter to her paediatrician few days ago for her bad cough, and she was telling the paediatrician, i coughing nonstop, feel very suffering le!. i was 😓 😓 😓
then she put her arms on the table and against her head and ask the paediatrician , how many days of mc do you think i should get? 😓 😓 even more
she makes me laugh at times.
my daughter has a school mate, same P2 as her, but different class, i know his mum personally, he has the same condition as my daughter, so i click very well with his mum and gave each other support like, oh no!! today my son misbehave, then i will tell her yeah!! my daughter did that too! how how? lets discuss what should we do to help them.
haha at times its really joining forces together to think of ways to help our kids :snuggles:

I don’t think our ASD children can get disabled child relief. It’s only for those physically disabled ones.

I think asd child can claim for disabled child relief… But you need to submit the reports saying he is asd.

He was diagnosed as Asperger's, so presumably his condition is not so marked. I know a man of 50yo who is clearly Asperger's but has not been diagnosed. He got through school and university and even NS and work, although his lack of social skills have made things a bit tough for him. He only realised he was Asperger's when his daughter was diagnosed a few years ago, although some of us who have known him a long time could recognise it. My own daughter was not diagnosed until 14yo, and that was because we chose to send her for diagnosis for school/exam reasons. If not, I think she would have still managed to get through life, although with more difficulty.

For this young man, it's a pity that he was not able to control himself. What he did was clearly wrong even if it was due to a disability, and I think the penalty of making him go for treatment is the right thing for him.
