My elder daughter is studying in Edgefield and will be advancing to Sec 3 next year. Her PSLE T-score was not fantastic, only 228 and that severely limited our choices. But we decided to go for a new sec school back in 2013 when their O Level batch has not even graduated. It is very important for your child to feel comfortable in school and your child will blossom. My girl is doing well in Edgefield so far. She is top in Lit for Sec 1 and Sec 2 plus straight As in all her subjects. Her L1 R5 is below 10 currently and she is in the top 10% of Edgefield. She will be doing double pure science in Sec 3.

I have put Edgefield as 2nd choice for my ds. May I know whether Edgefield has any class for triple science?

Yes, Edgefield has triple science. My daughter was also eligible for Triple Science but she wanted to do Lit as well. So she opted for double pure. Hope this info helps.

Just submitted my DS S1 entry.

I choose this school for his 1st choice.
As his result not as good as your kid.
Not much choice for him to choose :stupid:

Hi hnghng, no worries.....Edgefield is a good school. Although I said that it is one of the better schools in Punggol, I daresay that it is the 1st among equals in Punggol. So far, I did not hear of any serious discipline issues in Edgefield. Most importantly, the students like their Principal, Mr Leong. My girl told me that they can feel he cares deeply for the school. That is a very important plus point.

Yes, we feel that Edgefield is really not bad. We heard that the students are well disciplined and we quite like the fact that Taekwondo is a compulsory CCA. Can learn self defence & keep fit at the same time!

in the end, we decided to put NCHS as 1st choice, and Edgefield as 2nd choice. To be honest, we would happy too if he get into Edgefield in the end. It was initially our 1st choice, but since our DS T score allowed us to try for NCHS, we decided to give it a shot as we hope the \"Chinese\" environment over there can help him appreciate MT A little better.

Given your child's score, NCHS is a better option. In fact, My younger daughter wanted to put Edgefield as one of her choices (6th) becos her sister is there. But I feel it is a waste as her score allows her to put other schools and we overruled her. I still like Edgefield as it is a good school and it is very close to where we stay.

Yes we also thought that NCHS would be a better option for him. But since his t score is only 4 above last years COP, we were worried that he would miss out since it is quite close.

We live near Edgefield as well, coupled with the positive reviews, we were tempted by it....lol

Went to school reporting this morning. Overall impression is very good! They are very organised. Teacher is also very helpful. The student is very polite and pro-active in directing our way.
