Competition for desired courses in our unis are so keen every yr that A-level students are talking only about A & B grades. C,D & E grades though pass spell disaster.

Here are the tell tale signs that a good econs student exihibits in his/her yr1-4 jh/sec1-4:

      A) A decent grade in A maths though may not be particularly strong for an arts student ie A2 at O-levels.

      B) Strong grade in social studies

      C) Strong inclination in either hist/geog/eng lit.

If a student doesn’t demonstrate all of the above, better to choose an alternative humanities subject and take it at a lower level ie H1.

                Hi Augmum,

There is no new subject combination for JC 1.

There are many classes for PCME especially PCMG because not many of them dare to take Econ in DHS.

Dug out data from 2011 A level results.....

It shows 57% attained distinctions in Econs.....
thanksfully it is still higher than the national distinction of 37.8 %. πŸ˜‰
And yes, Geog shows a much better result ...over 70% of distinctions.

Result not bad for last year A level.

The senior said must go tuition for Econ.
