Can anyone advise which teachers are good at Marine Parade?

Hi,i went to LCentral @marine parade yest.honestly i wasnt impressed by the worksheets or classrooms.teacher paola n dave seemes alright though.
My son was with growan for 1 term but i find the teachers quality is nt there n class is big.my p1 son is average in school but reading n comprehension/compo is very weak hence is a cause for worry.when he goes to p2 next yr,he will hv problem since they r expected more sentence constuction.

Do u thk lcentral will help him improve? Any better ones to recommend in marine parade areas?

Hi,i went to LCentral @marine parade yest.honestly i wasnt impressed by the worksheets or classrooms. But perhaps they are right to say that the kid should improve on reading 1st and all other problems will improve. Reading is the foundation.

              Dear Ping92,

I am not sure whether Lcentral could help.

I knew that Teacher Ann and David are good. In fact they are all very nice and patience.

I knew about it through recommendation of my friend whose P2 and K1 kids are at Lcentral,Jurong East.

Do you read to her widely on daily basis? You might want to consider Pte tutor to coach her.

                    Hi

LCentral covers all aspects of the Singapore syllabus in their \"Success\" programme. It covers reading, writing, listening and speaking skills and all the exercises that go along with them.
Comprehension, composition, grammar clozes, mcq and vocabulary are just some of areas targeted by the Success programme.

Lift Off is the reading level and it will enable your child to become an independent reader. Whilst comprehension is a fundamental part of the programme, the main objective is reading. Along with this, your child will learn certain grammar rules and practice oral reading aloud.
However, all the exercises are of a lower level of difficulty when compared to Success.

You can go into any branch for a free assessment to determine which level your child falls into.
I believe ICR also offers free assessments so you can go in and compare the materials and speak to the staff/teachers.

You can also check out the respective websites: http://www.lcentral.net and http://www.icanreadsystem.com

                    Hope this helps!!
