Anyone can comment the difference between liftoff and I can read ICR programme?

I understand the fee for lcentral is higher than I can read...

My col sent 1 kid to Lcentral, another kid to I can Read, he compared the work book & concluded that Lcentral is better.
I chose Lcentral over ICR due to distance, timing & good comments from parents.

The referal has to be from the same branch your kid intend to sign up. Different branch no referral discount.

My girl was with ICR for two terms and I didn't know what she learned. And suddenly ICR switched to My English School and it's not native speaking teacher teaching her. I had to drag my girl to class every week as she didn't seem to enjoy. After I switched to LCentral, within 1 month my girl learned all the first sound of A to Z and quickly promoted from foundation to launchpad. She is happier at LCentral also.

My kiasu mummy friend told me the difference. She researched in details the difference of LCentral and ICR. LCentral is better than ICR with 'word attack skill'. LCentral reading programme teach more sight words which aid the kids to read faster rather than the need to blend 'high frequency' words when reading. For ICR, the kids have to learn reading with the marks above the words like those words you see in dictionary. After they learn to read the markings with the words, the kids have to learn to read the words without the markings above the words. It's like learning extra thing and to forget them. Extra step.

My son's teacher is Teacher Aisling for Foundation Class at Holland branch and my girl's teacher is Teacher Rita for LaunchPad Class. They are very friendly teachers. Teacher Stephen taught my girl for a term before I switched timing. He is very cute and nice teacher as well. I always see him playing/joking with my children.

Thanks for the information szemien! My 3.2 years old boy will go for LauchPad programme after the assessment. I revise his school work everyday. And need a professional teacher to give him a better guidance.
