Wow! I didn't know the benefits of Manuka honey till I \"accidentally\" purchased it at the recent VIP sales at Hock Hwa Tonic shop! I practically read through 40 pages of this topic and learned all about Manuka honey!
Hock Hwa VIP members now are entitled to a 25% discount for their Manuka honey (UMF 5 to 15) using their coupon vouchers! Limited to 6 tubs per customer. I really want to :stupid: as I only bought 2 tubs! After discount is only S$30 for UMF 10 @ 500g...... If anyone of you here are Hock Hwa VIP members please do inquire about the sales at their shops. The one that I bought looks good and I already polished off 1/3 of a tub within 3 days!
Thanks to all parents who contributed to this topic. Really appreciate all the ready info :lovesite: -

My kids are healthier and hardly fall sick. If they do for mild illness , i will just feed them 3 teaspoon a day.
So far so good. -
My boys (2.5yo and 4.5yo) are having cough since 2 weeks ago. Funny thing is they onli cough at abt 5am-6am plus in the morning. And according to the GP, she said it's the phlegm that back flows.
Read the benefits abt Manuka honey and went to buy a bottle of Comvita Manuka Honey with UMF 20+ (recOmmended by sales person). She keep telling me that UMF 20+ can be given to my boys to help to clear phlegm. May I ask how true is it? I think UMF 20+ is probably too strong for my kids. Am I right? And does Manuka Honey help to clear the phlegm? How much should I give and how many times a day for clearing of phlegm ?
Thanks in advance

is quite common for kids who have cough to cough more or cough only when they are in a cold/cool environment. My boys (2.5yo and 4.5yo) are having cough since 2 weeks ago. at 5-6 a.m , the weather is cooler, which could trigger the cough.
i experienced that with my gal when she was young.
try to put on warm clothes and wear socks for them, esp if they sleep in air-con rooms.
u can try it out and see whether their cough improve, hope it helps.....
