I see.. so NUS has a better reputation amongst the prospective medical students? Wondering if anyone did a comparison between the two.. also I’m quite surprised that the study methods are different?

Nus has perceived better reputation as it is the older school. But people on the ground now says NTU churn out better drs

Honestly, my daughter was sold and perceived LKC as the 1st choice in 2019.
Very warm and welcoming coupled with very new facilities both in NTU and Novena...
TBL was quite interesting, probably lots of opportunities for sharing knowledge within the group...

YLL is an establishment with >100 years of history.
It does not makes us felt as warn and welcoming as compared to LKC.
Their CG system (6 or more in a group) is similar to TBL.

LKC offered 1st, a week later, YLL offer came...Like some of you, receiving offers from both school means dilemma.
My daughter was kind of skewed towards LKC; Warm, welcoming, newer facilities, good vibes.
Wife and I skewed to YLL (We didn't expressed this to her); Its natural instinct.

After talking to families and friends; She accepted offer from YLL, despite her mind was skewing towards LKC.
That was a difficult choice, then.

We discussed strengths of these 2 schools over the weeks before deadlines to accept either offer.
Final decision is hers; either way, the same MBBS.
Progresses is really up to individual and what drives them beyond the 5 years in school...As parents, we will have little or no influence.

Over the past 2 years, she had truly enjoy her learning journey in YLL; the friends she met and made...still making and enjoying. Pre-covid, there are so many opportunity of local & overseas programs; sadly some plans were aborted since last year due to covid.

Forget about some hearsay that med school = not enough sleep or no social life.
I think her time in med school is far more interesting as compared to her JC time...

BTW, she did not opt to stay in hostel, which we are glad, very happening place even for med students.
Due to this fact, she best friends are also not staying in hostel...friends are very important factors, this I believed.
Dear Harrods,

Greatly appreciate your input, does your daughter have more input as to why she think YLL is the better choice? I heard from friends that NUS curriculum is starting to copy NTU curriculum and that NUS is slower to adopt more modern teaching styles. Also heard that NUS \"over-teach\" as compared to NTU.

NUS portal still says “Processing”
Offers are likely sent out in batches, may take time to update, all the best!

Dear all, NUS has just offered as well!

No notification yet via sms or email, check on joint admissions portal, NUS website should say application processed!

Can I have joint portal link? I have one, but when key in all details it says error

The portal can be accessed only when an offer is given, and will have to log in using the application number given by the school which has given you the offer

You got a good score for both, surprising to know that you have not received. Have you given the correct email ID? Why don't you call /email them to check. Have you checked your junk mail?

Yes unfortunately no luck with any ntu emails.. I contacted to check and heard that the last batch of shortlist will be by next Monday/tuesday, for anyone else wondering as well, they mentioned that the last MMI is on 18th April and that all interview will be done by week 3 april. I did not apply the ABAS however
I just received my interview offer from ntu, looks like invites are still going out for normal admissions
