If your DS DSA is via Sports, then he will not need to take up UG. UG is usually once a week. Whereas Sports training can be twice or thrice a week.

Congrats!
I don’t think accepting SSP CO will void your other DSA applications. Your SSP application was not via the MOE portal right?
I found this answer on SSP’s admissions FAQ site. Basically, u can accept it now without any damage. If later on, you receive a CO from a preferred mainstream school, then your final choice will be indicated by how you fill up the MOE’s “exercise preference” form. If u prefer the mainstream school, then u choose “accept the mainstream CO” on the form. This will void the SSP CO. However if u prefer SSP, then u submit a null form. SSP still has its own record of you accepting its CO.

Also, SSP is unique in that even after u accept the CO, the child still needs to take part in Sec 1 posting after PSLE results are released, ie He still must fill up the Sec 1 “six options” form. And then whichever mainstream school he gets posted to, is obliged to reserve the place for him all the way. This is MOE’s rule to assure parents that there is a guaranteed mainstream place based on the child’s academic ability. For those worst-case scenarios where child has to exit SSP somewhere down the line (Eg due to sports injury). -
RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
My DS2 got an offer from SSP. We are still waiting for another school to come back to us. I understand that mainstream DSA is independent of SSP DSA. Mainstream school has up to 14 September to get back to us. However SSP only give us two weeks to respond to the offer. We are kind of in a dilemma now. Should we accept the offer or wait for the other school’s offer? If we accept SSP offer, will that void our mainstream DSA application?

RE: Star Learners
Any comments for Star Learner @ Bishan? Planning to place my child there but a bit hesitant after reading the reviews on the Internet. Can anyone shed more lights? Thanks.
