RE: All About A Levels
Am a dummy about A levels too... Since the scores calculated are the same for the h1 subject and the worst h2 subject, my as well take H1 which is easier and might get better score for the subject. Can someone help please?

RE: HC or NJC?? Help! urgent
Try HC as 1st choice so that it will be very easy to appeal in.

RE: Secondary School Geography
To Be Honest Geog isnt as difficult as what it seems to be. It is just like the other subjects( chem, phy, bio) requires read up and practise and try to look at the bright side as elect. Geog only has four chapters and one tiny book so dont worry, focus like the other subjects and it will be easy as a piece of cheesecke. Most importantly, it is the mindset that requires change.

Hi, for badminton, the available spots are usually filled up by dsa people like table tennis ( I went for table tennis trials and heard the teacher saying that there is only one spot available) so definitely experience is needed and for fencing, Im not quite sure but I believe is the same as my friends in fencing have taken lessons since young

Well, to be honest, the ccas which are more difficult to join without experience are all the sports ccas except for canoeing and gymnastics (where there are sports trials but do not require past experience and Ive got a couple of friends who got selected just because they can do many pull ups etc.) . Apart from sports ccas, choir is a good choice too and there is a trial which one will have to sing along with the keyboard on pitch. There are also many pros than cons in joining uniformed groups as it is easy to get A and the two points.
PS : Band is a rather time-intensive cca and have trainings almost everyday so one should have a second thought before choosing to join band ( written not in a discouraging way) -
RE: St. Joseph's Institution
Hi all, just a couple of my thoughts on why SJI is a good choice for your son. 1. The teachers are caring and strict at times for the interest of the students. 2. There is always a sense of brotherhood and community in the school that it is difficult for your son to be left out. To be honest, I was an introvert but I managed to have many good friends and cliques in this school. Also there are very few or almost no bullying cases as we show respect to one another. 3. New refurbished campus after after two years ( which I sadly dont have the chance to experience). 4. The many activities and camps will ensure your son not to be left out. 5. There are many leadership opportunities in the schiol which will bring out the leadership qualities in your son and lastly 6. The Sec 3 JIEP ( trip to other countries) is indeed one of the most memorable activities in the school. ( I went to bintan, malaysia, Beijing and Losbanos phillipines) in the span of four years.
Last but not least, I can proudly say I am a Josephian and will definitely miss the school and friends next year.
