Good things come in pairs. :celebrate:
My girl also admitted to MGS tooade_phua:
Yup. It's the twins...
41 applicants <1km for 40 places
but 2 applicants are twins so counted as 40!
This year both ACSJ and MGS got 'twins effect'
new here and i'm one of the 48 registrants in ACJS who is perplexed by the last minute outcome. Wldnt it be an unfair balloting if really a set of twin is included as they wld definitely be in? Any way that we cld appeal for cancellation of balloting?
Received a call. Balloting cancelled.

Is it 48 applications/ballot slips = 49 children (1 pair of twins) or 47 applications/ballot slips = 48 children in this case?
47 ballot slips = 48 children which means that the twins will definitely be in whether they are drawn earlier or last. Advantage of being twins here.
For ACJS, there are 48 applicants within 1 km but only 47 vacancies in Phase 2B.
Not sure if 48 applicants include twin boys. If twins are included and have only 1 ballot slip, then 47 and not 48 ballot slips will be drawn.
Appears odd to put in 47 slips for 48 applicants to ballot for 47 vacancies. How is ballot conducted?
Should there even be balloting?
Can principal exercise discretion to admit all 48 if and since the 48 include twins?
Was at ACSJ at 430 yesterday and confirmed that there is a set of twins in the 48. I am tempted to call the school to appeal to cancel balloting even though I know that chances are slim. There is a chance that all will be in if the twins were balloted last anyway. -
