Just wondering, now that we are in Phase 2 of reopening, not sure whether schools will resume face to face interviews and sports trials for dsa?

Just received email from NUS High to acknowledge the application. Shortlisted candidates will be notified in batches in June and July.

Is there any way to upload/ highlight recommendation letters during the DSA application? Previously, these letters would go into the portfolio which the child will bring to the interview. Now with interviews going online, not sure if portfolios are still relevant. Thanks.

My DS is p6 this year and thinking of DSA into CHS, using either Leadership or Math/Science domains. Would appreciate some advice:
1) Assuming that the child is equally strong on leadership and math/science, which domain would it be better to apply under?
2) How was the selection process for these domains?
3) Any idea what’s the confirmed offers (CO) for these domains?

Need some advice on which DSA domain to try for. DS is a Perfect (Exco member) and also CCA leader for his CCAs. He is also in the debate school team. He is strong in Science and Math but makes careless mistakes. Science and Math results are consistently high 80s/low 90s. He has been receiving ECHA and EAGLES awards.

We are thinking of trying DSA into NUSH, ACSI and CHS, but not sure whether to use Academic domain (Science/Math) or Leadership domain. For NUSH, it will definitely be Science /Math, but how about for ACSI and CHS? I read somewhere in the forum that the Leadership should be used only if the child has no other strong domains to apply under.

Also for the debate school team, now that the Inter-sch debate competition is postponed, not sure if just being in the school team (but without any competition awards to show) would be beneficial for application under English or Humanities domain.

Just go ahead and sign up! MOE regulations should take precedence. If you are still concerned, then check out the MA and AA of the alumni association on what it takes to be a recognised alumni member as that's the only criteria in the Phase 2A1: To be a member not later than .....
