If I signup for a PV - will my distance from school affect my chances of selection?

If I manage to make it as a PV AND if I complete the required hour - do I get automatic P1 place? I heard some schools that even if you complete PV - your chances of getting a P1 place is pretty low. Thats what I heard - not sure about it (other schools, not CF).

Indeed its quiet. Need to look for a preschool after this circuit breaker. Will go to Jolly Owl and Champ Kids to have a look as these are nearer to my place. The kids are driving me up the wall while I am working from home...need to rant abit here
