They cost between $300-$500..

Thank you, coolit. That is quite ex...
Have you tried their services before? How do you find it?

Yes, they are quite receptive when I told them first one cannot, too lazy. They sent another cleaner which was much better. I went with Home Cleanz, they do ironing also maybe that is why it is quite ex. I tried Genie Cleaning Centre before it is cheaper but no ironing done.
Thank you! I will find out šŸ˜„

My girl tends to slouch a lot recently, when she is writing homework or reading books. I tried to remind her by tapping on her back everytime I see her do it, but it doesnt seem to work. Any parents have experience in dealing with this issue? Please share!

I don't have a solution either but I know it's not healthy especially after long hours in school. Is she very tired? Let me know if anyone knows Effective ways too!

      Hi mothernancy,

She is not tired. She is just doing it unconsciously when she gets engrossed in her writing/reading. It is not healthy - not good for her spine or eyes. Daddy and I have tried different ways but we cant possibly catch her every time. I heard there are devices to help with sitting gestures? Not sure if they are effective/comfortable.

Have anyone tried any cleaning company to come to your house once a week and do the cleaning instead? How much do they cost?

Also wonder if anyone knows how is this compared to British Council?

I heard from my friend that their lessons are very surface and didn't help to improve her son's work at all. Any ideas? Not sure if British Council lessons comply with Singapore exams??

U refering to the write connection or british council that is on the surface
Hi,
I'm referring to British Council. šŸ™‚ Their programmes for foreign students are quite effective. šŸ™‚

Was about to sign up for next year's class but realised that TWC doesn't give out model compositions for students to refer to. Should this be a cause for concern?

Anyone can advise on whether model compositions should or shouldn't be given to students in the learning of composition writing?
      Hi JJ2,

As far as I know, they do give model compo to upper primary to aid them in their writing and exam preparation. šŸ™‚
For lower primary, they teach them to analyse their comprehension pieces and different skills and techniques used, my girl gets to apply and learn these techniques by heart. I feel it is better, because I dont want my girl to look at model compositions too early and start memorising, and lost all her creativity. šŸ™‚ I am letting my girl to read some classics also, so she get exposed to more types of writing styles. Hope this helps! šŸ™‚
