Already booked a trip to go in july with parents and son (20 months). Will be staying at Kowloon hotel.

RE: Should I carry out my threat?
think it boils down to what some others mentioned earlier … u letting your children to learn piano to pass exams/tests so that they will major and make a career in music next time? or for them to have a hobby that they can enjoy in their own free time? … my thoughts …

RE: Kids insurance -education plans
true … just feel as parents we should at least try to provide them some simple coverage till they are old enough to pay and decide on what they want

RE: Pri 1 child attacked by 5 classmates
guess it really comes down to the parents/family … if they ‘love’ the kids so much that they totally dont see them doing any wrong … then something is wrong already

RE: Downtown East incident....
sad to say but such incidents really reflect how the teens nowadays feel about themselves … whoever has the bigger group/weapon will just feel ‘big’ about themselves …
an accidental glance or bump can lead into something so tragic
condolences to the family -

plan for the worst … hope for the best

RE: Kids insurance -education plans
lesson learnt from friends … get medical insurance for your kids once they are born … their kid was admitted to hospital and bills racked up close to $1k per day!
set aside an endownment fund for their education -
RE: Insurance protection
Think ultimately is what you require vs what you can afford
Everyone would like to be well-covered for all events, have the highest payout and lowest monthly cost
Personally I try to mix and match accordingly to what I think I would need … started with a life policy whereby to pay for 25yrs (I think) … then covered for life till death
then some investment/insurance policies as income increases over the years …
although most company would provide some form of hospitalisation and medical coverage, would advise to get some persoanlly as well so that when we do retire … at least we have some form of coverage … else would be very difficult if we start having medical issues along the way
my 2 cents -
