    • RE: Choosing and Evaluating Primary Schools

      Dear parents

My girl can go to Zhangde at 2A2 but we would like to send her to a better school beyond 2 km from our home

As I have two girls, am considering either St Margaret or CHIJ Kellock under 2C as both have affiliated secondary schools. Between the two schools, which school is better in terms of academics and school culture.

And which affiliated secondary school is a better option ?

My backup school will be Queenstown Pri as it is the nearest.
Between Queenstown Pri and Zhang De, which school is a better choice in terms of academics and overall school culture ?

      Thank you.

    • RE: 2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

      Hi! parents

We can apply Zhang De Pri school under 2B but I have preference to go for St Marg or Kellock because of the affiliation to secondary school which will be under 2C (have 2 girls).

In terms of distance, zhang de is the nearest.
Can anyone share your thoughts on Zhang De Pri School? Any information in terms of the academic standard, teachers?

Between SMPS and Kellock ? which is a better choice overall? and which one do I have a higher chance?(both outside 2 km)
Both schools require travelling and SMPS will be slightly further than Kellock esp when it moves to holding site.
In terms of the secondary schools, is SMSS or STC is better ?

      Appreciate any advice. Thank you.

      Dear existing parents of SMPS.

Is there a parent volunteers group in school? May I know if it is active? What are some programs parents are involved with?

Under this new system, is there anyway we can find out if the applications are within 1 km or 2km.

I am staying >2km of St Margaret Pri.

Do I still stand a chance if we apply ?

    • RE: St Margaret's Primary

      Hi! parents.

I am considering St Margaret Pri for my dd next year. Just wondering if anyone send their girls to the school by public transport.

I am thinking of sending her by MRT to Dhouby Ghaut MRT and walk up to the school. Any parents do that ?

Is it feasible ? I seems to see many parents sending kids to school by car.

      Thank you.
