Net is :

1. RI is the best school in the Singapore system. Majority (notice I say majority, NOT ALL) of students who can’t get to RI goes to HCI or other schools.
2. HCI is the next school, after RI, in the Singapore system.
3. Follow by the rest.

No point comparing. If you child does well, you are 100%. If your child does not do well (it’s not the end of the world!!), you are also 100%. To each his own.

Singapore is overly competitive, to the point of being SICK!

Han Seo:
Hubby tutored 3 students for GP last year. All scored an 'A' for GP. Of the 3, two consistently scored 'C' and 'D' in their results before they were tutored by hubby. Finally, all the hard work paid off! They got an 'A' for their GP! The students were over the moon and so was hubby. One of them had aimed to go into medicine and the GP grade matters. So happy for her.

:congrats:
Can elaborate what is needed for medicine? Thank you.
What can a 88.75 scorer do please?

Math, Chem, Bio, Econs, GP, PW.

I believe that is just 1H1 subject with a B while the rest are As. Your son should be able to apply for anything he likes (as long as he meets the minimum subject requirements). Have a look at the IGP for NUS/NTU/SMU. I'm sure he'll find a course that interests him. 🙂

Congrats! 🕺
My DD, XD
:thankyou:

How do you compare 3H2/1H1 grade to someone who takes 4H2? Can someone help explain. Thank you.

You take the 3 best H2 grades as their H2 and the 4th best H2 grade as their H1.

Isn't that close to perfect of 90? :imcool: wide choice available depending on the subjects taken.
