      Thank you,panickymum ,piglet and calf.

I booked one round ticket for my helper, traveling in Nov.

Remember to buy luggage space (if she's bringing stuff back). It is cheaper when u buy online with ticket.

I thought 10kg carrying luggage should be enough for her. She just sent back a super jumbo box by courier last month. But she told me she still want 20kg checking luggage yesterday.sigh, too late. Wondering why she got so many things to send back.

    • How about maid's laptop?

My helper asked me if she can own a laptop, I said no, but she still bought it and even asked me if she can use my wireless account! Now every afternoon she stays in her room use her laptop and pretending she is ironing. How do I do? I warned her many times to control herself, but seems no use.

She is with me for more than one year. I am scared if change a new maid even worse than her.

    • RE: Practice for home leave

      limcarmel:
i paid for the air tics (to and fro) and also the 2 weeks she is away. was told to hold her last month salary, just in case she go home and dun wanna come back.

you need to apply for home leave for fili maid. I did it in one of those fili office in lucky plaza. cost abt 250+. u must apply that for her in order for her to come back to SIN. else she'll be stuck there.

before you apply for her home leave, make sure u renew her WP and insurance first and draft out an employment contract with her.
Thank you, limcarmel. It really helps a lot.

My Filipino helper’s contract is expiring in two months, I will let her go back to see her families. Do I pay air ticket and the salary during her absent? I do not have a contract, so pls advice me what is the situation.

Another question, after I renewed her WP, do I need to go to Philipine Embassy to apply for a license so that my helper can come back? I do not quite understand this rule, I was told by my agent, it will cost $350.

Ya..teacher usually dun states on the form that they require parent helper. Once u got the form, juz go ahead to ask the teacher, sure they will need helpers (but think lower pri lar). Go ahead ask the teacher asap..cos they only need 2 helpers onlys..

Thank you for your advice. I will ask the teacher.

My daughter's class will go to Botanic Garden next week, wondering any Psg member got invited to help ?

Which class is your daughter in? My son will be going next week too and he said his teacher didn't mention whether parents volunteer is needed. 😛

My daughter is in 2-8, how about your son? Her form teacher is on maternity leave.

Sorry to ask, any reason why angel and december want to transfer your kid to CPS?

For the internet learning, the teacher will provide the link, id and password to the children. I think for P1 e-learning is minimum. If I am not wrong they will let P2 and above do e-learning during some days where there is no school like PSLE oral or exam.
As for Facebook, I suggested to PSG last year to create PSG in FB so that parents can network and communicate with each other. Unfortunately till date, they have not gotten the approval from school. Recently, they have elected a new committee and I was told they will continue to check with school on this.
Thank you Bezzlay, it is really helpful.

My reason is similar with December, plus this school is nearer to my home, my daughter can go home by herself without crossing the road.

I emailed my application to join Psg. Maybe they do not need helper these days so that no response yet.

One more question, do they have Olympia Math training in school?
