She is my ex maid who has images of my child without permission, entered family house without permission when she stopped working for me.

at parents’ place, she only gets to use the mobile phone at night. at my place, she is very rude and simply has no respect.

she told the agency I didn’t stop her from singing and using the phone. for me, I will only say it once if the maid goes overboard. when she started blasting the songs, singing loudly and talking while cooking, she knows I am aware and I did hint it’s too loud. the Myanmar translator told her even if I didn’t say anything about her phone usage, she should have known it’s overboard. anyway, she is sitting at the agency everyday waiting for a new employer.
i suspect her change of behavior is due to her friends’ brainwash…that i’m not the employer and as such there is no need to behave when staying at my place. obviously she doesn’t know i have the authority to return her to the agency.

My last Myanmar helper was like that…rude!
I employed Myanmar girls before but never encountered a girl who was so rude as my ex maid, she rolled her eyes, laughed and made noises while I was speaking to her.
Never greet no body, angry why I’m not giving her WiFi even though it was agreed at the beginning and agent told her as well. After 1 week she got upset and demanded to speak to agent to change employment.
She only cleaned 1 room, iron. Cooking was v bad so I got take outevert day and looked after my boy myself.
She complained that was heavy work, told me she can’t finish contract in 2nd week and don’t want to complete loan. I hired new maid, Fillipina although I’m aware they are demanding, I just couldn’t handle training another maid and maid being too dumb to follow. Soon as my ex maid found out I hired new maid she told me she changed her mind and will try to finish her contract if only I extend her off day time!
I’m sooo happy she is gone!. I lost money but really gotta decent maid now who worked 14yrs for 1 employer and only left as children are now adults.

I think it goes beyond you being nice to your parents helper …she is being quite rude and using your daughter’s perfumes and lotions without asking is …amount to stealing. Just because it’s not money and jewellery she is taking doesn’t make it right. I’m shocked your daughter is ok about someone else touching her things ! my girl will be really angry and say something.
Using phone… ok to a point but it’s not polite to be so loud it can be overheard.
Overall, shocking behaviour, she should be thankful to have such kind people to work for.

I have tried my share of different angecies good and mostly average, expensive and average priced ones.
Can’t say which works or which doesn’t but it’s a lotto!!
You can get a reputable agency, helpful agent but! Maid you pick can be a bad fit for your house.
Just pray you don’t end up getting a maid from bad agency and run away maid because you will lose all the money!!
Direct hire also hit and miss.
Fortunately this time God did not forsake me as I was going crazy with stress and sent me a near perfect maid!
She is from Myanmar, direct hire.

During my search I have come across couple of honest agents, if anyone interested then pm me. In the end it’s your choice wether you strike it lucky or get a dud one.

I guess getting a good maid is really like hitting a lottery… I’m not sure if I’d be happy winning a million dollar lottery or getting a good maid who can clean and cook nice food without giving me stress.

I wish there was regulation like HK, maids can’t transfer without completing their contract.
In HK you can transfer upon completion of your contract or employer pass away but if Maid quit or you dismiss her she must rtn to her Home country.
That way you don’t recycle bad maids and they are eager to finish the contract.

I will try to follow all the suggestions and perhaps back door needs a gate so it’s cool but keep an intruder out of my house.
