May I know which one you chose ?

BTW, agree KV & RK about de tuition.
Most of those student cares provide the assessment books for student practice, it is not considered as tuition.
Tuition teachers and student care teachers aren’t applying the same standard.

I see. Thanks for the sharing. :goodpost:
Strongly recommend my girl’s afterschool centre – Runningkids learning hub. https://www.facebook.com/Runningkidsclub/
The best part my girl benefited from RK is her positive attitude towards learning and love for Chinese. She read many books in RK including Chinese books as well. I enroll her to some RK tuitions and enrichment classes, don’t have to source for other classes from outside. With RK teacher’s encouragement, my girl also participated some competitions from which she found the confidence.

My boy is going to Xishan next year. I visited Kidsville student care centre (KV), Runningkids learning hub (RK) and Bubble learning house (BB), the 3 nearest student cares mentioned as above. Here are some information for those parents looking for a student care.
      1.\tDistance
All short distance to Xishan within 5 mins walk.
      2.\tEnvironment
KV at 1st floor of HDB Blk 220, spacious place, full equipment, kids can take shower and nap.
RK at 2nd floor of HDB Blk 291, good environment, looks cosy. Indeed they have a lot of books, and piano is provided for kids play. Full equipment. Kids can take shower and nap.
BB at 2nd floor of HDB Blk 239, the afternoon student care is converted from preschool (it’s playgroup in mornings), the environment more for younger-age. No napping & shower.
      3.\tStudents
KV accept all races. Majority Students from Xishan & Yishun.
RK students are all Chinese students, students from Chongfu & Xishan.
BB accept all races. Majority Students from Xishan & Huamin.
      4.\tMeal & Tea break
      All meals are home-cooked food.
      KV provides hahal food.
      RK provides non-hahal food.
      5.\tTeacher-student Ratio
      KV 1:20, RK 1:10, BB 1:15
All are higher than the ratio of school-based student care which is 1:25 according to MSF guideline.
      6.\tProgram
From the facebook page, RK posted more various activities.
      7.\tTuitions
BB provides full tuitions in student care, it’s assessment book tutoring, provided by the student care teachers.
Both RK & KV student care teachers also give assessment book tutoring in student care, but seems they don’t consider it as tuition.
RK provides additional tuitions conducted by outside vendor & tutors.
      KV no outside tuitions provided.
      8.\tFees
      KV $353/mth, RK $350/mth, BB $370/mth

      Hope it helps.

Recommand my girl's student care centre - Runningkids learning Hub which is located in Blk 291#02-355,353,351 (above unity). They focus on reading and Chinese learning. All the teacher and tutors have strong background. My girl loves the centre very much and I have to say it is a good choice for the kids to learn Chinese and devolop reading habit. And surely the little book lovers like my girl will love their well-stocked library 😄

      Dear all,

My son is in the centre :imanangel: . Not sure their enrollment in next year, if 450 including tuition and their programme, it is quite fair. I have my child involved in the tuition. So far I am satisfied. The lessons aren't conducted by student care teachers, heard one of the English teachers from Raffles JC, and one Chinese teacher used to teach in ACS.
I like their program and holiday activities, they teach Chinese culture and engage students to read daily. Actually I received call from Chong fu school based student care when it expands in mid-year, but after viewing, we decided to stay in Runningkids.
