Very sad to read so many unhappy incident with FDW. My sis-in-law just got 1 fresh inexperience Myanmar maid for 4 mths. We are living under 1 roof with her and my mum-in-law. Personally I found her very hard working and learning as much as possible with the very details and precise instructions to do very task. No off days, less than half hour to eat her meals, left over food for lunch from yesterday dinner, no rest in the day. She employed her to help takecare of her mother and herself. My life has no change as I still cooks, wash, do my own house chores by myself. I can't bare to add anything to her when seeing her with so much work from 7am till 10-11pm to wash and clean the house and endless amount of clothing. Now she requested to go back to her agent for transfer, well this is the 2nd time. 1st when she was 1 mth with us. The maid cries when she is scolded by my sis-in-laws (anyway there are 3 sis in total) with words like idiot, stupid... Keep on nagging for 10 mins and 5-6 times per day. When they called, she has to run else scolded for being slow. Things not clean enough will have to clean all over again. Resently, she told me she was abuse physically by one of them. Now she wanted to go, I really hope she can transfer to better 1 employer. Thing get worsen when they preferred to sent her home. She has not paid off her loan to them, I wondered what will happen to her? Will she ended up in debts when back to Myanmar, as air ticket, pass port and 1 month advance paid are provided to her before coming. Any one know what to do or whether she can come back again as a maid after being sent home like this?
