We are moving house from Bedok to Dover Close East this December. My daughter is P3 now. I’ve called primary schools near Dover Close East and all schools told me no vacancies. I’m very worried if no vacancy for my daughter to transfer to a primary school near our new house, we don’t have transports to send and pick her up from Bedok after we move to Dover. Please advise what can I do?

Which school have you tried? i think most schools have waitlist option/ application for transfer etc. (i saw the option for Clementi and New Town on the website). Submit in the meantime.

Thank you Lexy! I found online Primary School Transfer Form for some of the schools within 6km radius. For schools do not have such form online, I called some of them and were told that they do not have vacancies... these schools suggested me to apply through MOE website. I've called MOE and they asked me to wait for the next application period because the application starting tomorrow is for reporting in September, which will be too early for us. I truly hope and pray my daughter can enter a school nearby Dover Close East for her P4 on 1/1/2021. :imanangel:

Thank you again Floppy! Application through MOE open tomorrow 24/8 to 4/9/2020 for reporting to the new school on 18 Sep 2020. As we are moving from Bedok to Dover (resale HDB) in December 2020, I will continue to check MOE next application window. Any idea for application through MOE, how high is the success rate for transferring to a primary school nearby new house?
