Went to open house in 2023 and my child is in the school currently. Reasonably good school. Children are well mannered. The New P is energetic, and school is prompt in responding. Disciplined is strict. Overall didn’t regret our choice.

Hi Parents, any one heard from Chung Cheng high school (main) after the badminton trial?

There are actually a lot of waiting for further shortlist or mayb no further shortlist etc. So all applicants will get official notification on the schools they applied by 11 Sep on the outcome? Since we do not know whether there are further rounds of shortlisting?

Can I check if any parents receive interview from Maris Stella High School after badminton trial?

Although my child not in sport. But to give a fair judgement, not all dive into IP becoz of IP stream. It might be due to the coach the particular school is having.

Does this mean if the coach is in that school then there is a higher success rate of DSA-ing into that school?

Most schools will apply some form of shortlisting, based on their internal guidelines and assessment, before they invite you for trials.

For less popular sports / talent areas where there are fewer applicants, they may invite everyone to attend. For very popular sports / talent areas where there could be hundreds of applicants, they will have to trim the shortlist down (maybe less than 50) to make it meaningful.

CCHS badminton trial email already out on 28 June. Trial on 19 Jul. Only shortlisted will go for 1st trial.

Yup. Just curious whether the first trial is after shortlisted or all applied will go direct for the first trial. If it's the latter then should have a big pool i guess? Hence, just trying to gauge the number attending.
