Considering CMA Bishan for lower primary. Any feedback on the teachers, do they have classes conducted in Chinese, class size, referral code, how your kids have benefited is greatly appreciated!

Heard from another parent that start time will be pushed back to 7.40am. Also, I have heard good things from 3 different sources about the school from parents who are themselves educators. I chose this school over 'brand name' schools because I like their philosophy of character building as well as what principal Catherine said about every child having an opportunity to be leaders. Our kids cannot all be leaders at all times in their lives, they must learn how to work well in a team. It is not possible to be good at everything. Anyway, my boy is in Self Discipline, hope he will meet many new friends and that would mean new mummy friends for me too :imcool: . I am so excited for him.

Believe confirmation letters have been received. 13 Nov is orientation day. Wonder if it’s the same for everyone. Anyway, I do like the cosy environment at the school and was there for Open House. It was then that a response by a teacher to a query by a parent touched me. A parent had asked about their kids should do at music class if they already play a keyboard and may get bored. The teacher responded calmly that perhaps the kid could help show other kids how to play it. For me, this is the heart of education and I pretty much made up my mind about enrolling at SGPS. Thought I might share this. Other than that, I’ve heard very positive things about the school from other parents. Hope this helps!

I wonder where the cut off was. All SCs admitted >2km? Was very well-subscribed at phase 2b compared to previous years.
