      Two little puppies:
I'm thrilled to meet you mummies here .

My daughter is still adapting to P 1 life .It's a far cry from preschool.Waking up early is the toughest for her.

She did some coloring in school . Think she always tries to finish fast . Saw a completed english coloring work on which she wrote one sentence .
Din see homework in Helpmate also.

I'm keen to form a group chat . How do I pm my contact?

Thanks insignificantsoul for your info. Did not received any detailed schedule for the modular curriculum. I'll check with the Teacher. My girl is in P1 Integrity, yesterday came back with her spelling list. Was pretty shock to see that they start having dictation at P1. Some of my gfs kids only start dictation in P3. Seems like MCS is setting a high standard.

Oh, my girl is also in P1 Integrity!
Actually for their class, the day they have modular curriculum on wed, they have PE too, so still have to wear PE attire. Anyway, also realised that they mixed lifeskill/projects with sports for each session of modular curriculum, so also need PE attire of Modular Curriculum.

Hi parents can check on the days that the timetable indicate modular curriculum the girls are suppose to be in sch in PE attire?? Just received the cca form from school today as well..haha my girl is interested in many of them!!

      Hi Gerri_mummy,
My gal has received the detailed schedule for the modular curriculum yesterday. From there, you can check which module she is having for each week. I intend to let my gal wear PE attire when she is having Sports/Games or Dance, and pinafore when it is Life skills/Projects.

      hi mummies,

My girl will be P1 at MCS next year. I am SAHM, looking for a full time job, and planning to put her in student care. I just put her on waiting list at Good Shepherd Student Care, but they said its likely she will not get the place there, because apparently most parents registered their children since last year.

Will any mummies here share with me about getting in GSSC and about other student care around TPY? but if I enrolled her in other student care means I have to fetch her from school and drop her at the student care right?

      thank you
      Hi,

my dd is going to P1 Integrity.

She has gotten a place at GSSC. We registered our interest since Jun this year, and confirmed a place in Oct.

It would be most ideal, if your girl can get a place in GSSC. Wish you good luck.

I supposed you can google to search for other student care at TPY. You may consider Jessin at Blk 85 or Pro-Teach, at Toa Payoh Central CC. But personally, I don't like Pro-Teach, have visited the place once and found it very academic and classroom based, no nap time, and they include tuition service. I prefer my girl to be able to get some rest and recreation after the long hours at school.

You can find out more from the student care centres, some provide transport service. Else, you may have to arrange school bus for your girl to drop off near the student care centre, and usually the teachers will pick the child from the school bus drop off points.

The P1 orientation will be held at the current premises or holding school?
Should be in current premise, they have not moved to holding school yet.

      Hi,

Can anyone able to advise the following.

      1. When will my daughter receive her time table?
      2. On orientation day, where can I park if self-drive to school?

      Thank you.
I called the school last week to ask if we can park at the school, the admin staff said they will open up more lots in the school for parking, but subject to availability.
