RE: Marymount Convent
Hi.
Just got the orientation letter. My DD is in 1Perserverance. Looking forward to letting my daughter meet her new friends on 17 Nov.
Just a, question…how many T-shirt and pinafore do we buy? How often do they wear the pinafore in P1 and P2. -

Thanks Floppy. We were quite happy to see the girls running and playing happily after school.Roberta:
My granddaughter enrolled in Marymount yesterday. We think the school will be a good fit for her.

Congrats. No balloting. After much consideration decided to register DD today at Marymount Convent as we feel the school is the best fit for her. Looking forward to getting to know fellow parents whose daughters will be in P1 next year.
Marymount Convent managed to fly under the radar again. -

RE: Marymount Convent
Hi. I am considering Marymount for my DD for P1 next year based on the reviews in this forum. We drove past the school and saw that she would need to walk 1 big round from the MRT to the school. Called the school and was informed that they are taking to LTA to have a back gate that leads to the MRT. Hope that comes through.
It is a very difficult decision as we would like her to have a school that is balanced between academic and values. This is something that did not happen in my son’s school.
As the school is quite a distance via the Circle line, 20 min ride on the train, we are torn between CHIJ Katong, Canossa Convent and Marymount. All good schools but leaning more towards Marymount.
Any views. -

RE: CHIJ (Katong) Primary
Thanks bizzybee. I am looking for a school which emphasises values in addition to academics. How is the Chinese programme in KC given its reputation as a very English school? Hope we will be able to get in this year given that MOE closed a number of primary schools.
