Is there a list of recommended Physics reference books and workbooks? If child is still in lower sec, should we just get O-Level reference materials and TYS to learn and practice? Or it should be level specific?

Are there any local parents sending your child/children to one of the three Intl Schools (ACSI, HCIS or SJII)?


Any inputs on the curriculum, teaching delivery and extra-curricular difference from regular Secondary schools?

Unlike SJII, the impression of ACSI and HCIS have weaker PG involvement and support group. Is this true?

Anyone attended jcarter oral classes before? I have been quoted $270 for 1.5 hr 1-1 session, minimum of 3 sessions.

Find that going through oral books have not yielded good results for us. Or anyone has good 1-1 tutor that can do few sessions of oral practice before PSLE?

I am currently a full-time tutor and include the oral element in my 1-to-1 EL lessons. I majored in Linguistics and have been in the broadcasting industry for 10 years. So I do have the necessary tools for better speech and conversation. My schedule is almost full for this year, but if you need just a few lessons to prep for oral feel free to PM me.

Hi I have a very quiet and polite ex-SIN Indon maid, whom I am looking at transferring out after being with us for 10 months. Decided not to keep her as she speaks some English only. And in the end, 10 Yr old girl needs to watch over her when sending child to enrichment classes.


She used to work for malay families for 4 yrs. Currently could communicate with hubby since he speaks malay. Needs some reminders due to language barrier but very earnest in wanti g yo do things right.

My question is, do I send her back to the agency and have her transfer out or just send her back to Indon?
