I am a teacher of Senior English and "A Sense of Belonging" is one of my favourite compilations of short stories. Last year, I read ‘The Driving Test’ with my senior class and they were stunned. They wanted to read more by the author and went online to see if they could find further stories by her. 'Naema Disparue" is an all time favourite - it works on so many levels and turns many of our expected stereotypes around - muslim men/women etc.


I love teaching from this and most of the students I have taught have enjoyed what we have done from the book.
