I guess Gy is surrounded by many popular schools. People want their kids to go to popular schools as priority. Furthermore, I think GY does not do much publicity and hence not many people notice GY is there.

BTW, I cannot wait for GY to move back to Bishan. I see the building going up and up, my kids can’t wait to use the new facilities. There’s lots of excitement!

    • RE: Guangyang Primary

Hi Hi! Both my kids r in GY. Feel free to ask me any questions. I'll try to answer your queries. :))

I agree. I heard from my frens that the P (Mdm Wu) is a hands-on person. She interacts with the children and personally coaches P6 pupils for PSLE. Hmm...hoping my child gets that extra boost next year. It will help. I hope mi gal can get into a good secondary school then. Another level of stress!

Currently GY is having jumble sale, teaching kids about recycling and protecting the environment. Good effort, handled by the PSG. Kudos to these mummies and daddies!

    • RE: Top Primary school?

I seriously think that we should look at the normal classes’ results for better comparison. 1 top scorer does not mean that all others do very well in the PSLE. ‘Branded’ Schools also have pupils doing badly. Should also look at the average PSLE results to get a better gauge.

    • RE: Which school got in-house Student Care Centre?

Hi! I know Guangyang Primary at Bishan has a Student Care Centre.

The SCC is within the school compounds and is available to students from the school only.

yar…I sort of agree with zeemimi. I have seen plenty of children from "branded schools" going into "non-branded" sec schools. I think that if the school has good teachers, then it is worth while investing in it. Furthermore, home support matters too. Super mummy, here I come!

    • RE: [Bishan] Primary Schools

I was asking around for info about KCPPS and even called the school for info, but got rude answers. They even slammed the phone down on me within seconds, why can’t entertain parents? Was upset cos could not get any info from them.

Hi! That’s great news. I think I’ll sign up for the talk. As at now, I only know that there are vacancies for Phase 2C. Have seen the building in progress, looks big and impressive. Wonder if there are programmes to match the facilities…
