Your choices look good, and are a popular combo among those in the East. DHS and TJC (AL8, as noted by others) may need to ballot. If unlucky, AHS (note, was AL12(P) last year) will definitely catch her.

One other option is CCHM at AL11(M). I think travel time would be similar to that of DHS, but longer than that of AHS.

      Good luck!
Thank you! Yes, we went to CCHM open house and found it was very Chinese, probably more so than DHS. We will visit DHS and Anglican this weekend.

Thanks! Indeed, TJC is not SAP but offers IP. Any feedback on TJC? Any other recommendations for mixed sec schs in the east?

      hi

My daughter got AL8 D and we stay in Tampines.

Would it be wise to put Dunman High (2021 COP AL8 D) first, following by TJC (AL8 D) and Anglican High (AL11)?

      Thank you for your advice.

    • RE: Kinderland

Any comments on Kinderland at upper changi road east? I’m looking at its nursery class in 2013 for my daughter. Heard the principal is strict and turnover rate is not too high. How are the teachers and learning environment?? Thanks!

    • RE: Pre-school fees

On the other hand…If a good school is strong in languages and math, it would mean parents can save on enrichment classes and time on chauffeuring their children to classes ? Perhaps just focus on soft skills like music or art for extra classes. That’s one way of looking at this issue.

    • RE: Lorna Whiston Pre School

      Hi all,

I’m looking for a nursery class for my daughter and like what is being taught at LW. GIven its high fees and strong curricumlum, I wonder whether parents still need to send thier children to enrichment classes, eg ICR, Berries, Shichida etc. Can parent skip these supplementary classes if LW is already doing a great job in school?

Would any parent care to share their thoughts?
