Just want to share my 2 cents. I have 2 children, one have transfer out of RVPS and another still in RVPS. If given another chance, I won't send any of my children to this school for various reasons.

      Hi there,

I am thinking of sending mum daughter to RV next year. Between this and my alma mater (which is further away), I am facing a big dilemma! Would you please share more about why your children did not like RV? Was it too stressful or the school environment? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Thanks,
      mom of two girls

I am transferring my son out of RVPS also. In fact, my elder girl was out when she was P4.
The school admin processes are messy. Every time last minute notice about matters such as exam topics and schedule. we received information only 2 weeks before exams.
CCA -- no proper planning nor support. The kids in sports groups were not given support. No priority given in terms of selection of player.
Academic - the teachers expect everyone to have private tutors. Very basic teaching in class. Minimal homework. Imagine one composition piece per term for P5 students..... Teachers always on course.. always have relief teachers..

      Hi all,

Heard from some parents the RVPS may ask very young teachers to teach P6 students, is that true?

      Thanks in advance.
Yes. My friends' kids are studying there as P6 students. Teachers are not in school quite often. Even for those key personnels, their teaching is terrible. Always not in school and give very little work. The kids are not adequately prepared. The teachers expect everyone to have private tutor.

Dont send your kid there. My son is studying there as a P4 student and he is in the best class. Teachers are always not in school. And the daily work is minimal but the teachers will flood the kids with a lot of work a week before exams. This happens since the time my son was in P3. I have friends who have kids in P6. Horrendous. The teachers are always ‘on course’ and some taught to the test. The kids were not adequately prepared for the exams.

The teachers expect all the kids to have private tuition at home.
I will be transferring my son out this year. No way to stay in this school.
