Hi
I noticed under the executive member page of a community centre website, there are people listed as patrons. How does one become a patron and can it be used in the same way as an executive member under Phase 2B?
Thank you.

RE: Order from Dangdang
Hi Kelly2009,
The payment is made in 2 parts. Part 1 is when I 1st ordered my books. They included their service charge ($5 in my case) and GST in that payment. You have to pay min 80% of that total before they will buy the books for you. Part 2 is after they informed me that they have received my books and it is on it’s way to SG and they tell me the remainder due (including shipping). In my case, the shipping portion is about $21. I’m not sure abt the local delivery but I get the impression from their website that it is included in their price.
After reading about how one has to wait nearly forever if you buy direct from DD and all the credit card nightmares, I’m impressed with the speed of purchase using Peeka. I ordered on Thursday night and paid the 80%. Fri I receive emails saying they have received payment and ordered. Sat I receive another email saying the books have reached their China office. Tue I receive emails that it’s on its way to SG and request for Part 2 payment. So far so good, fingers crossed no nightmares ahead for me.

RE: Order from Dangdang
Hi Tamarind
Yes I picked economy shipping. (I used your instructions on how to order) I got my shipping cost a day after I posted the above. And it came up to about S$21. I can't believe how fast the whole process took and my books are due to arrive in 10-12 days (from today). Yay.
Thx for the great tip. -
RE: Order from Dangdang
Hi
I tried ordering from Peeka and am excited to see how fast the order goes thru and goods received at Peeka’s China office. As my chinese is very weak, I’m not sure how to find the specifications of the package to calc an estimate shipping charge. A friend told me vpost has a China address now. Has anyone used vpost’s service before and is it cheaper to use vpost? Thx.
