Called up the sch n Yessssss..my DD got into the school!!!
Now waiting for the confirmation and orientation letter frm the sch! :celebrate:

I could not see where this information was obtained.... Only saw 118 applicants for 117 vacancies. You mean to say all the applicants of 118 were under 1km?? :?:

. The infor u saw on moe website was on 3 rd aug n probably soon they will update the website for today.. I called up the Sch personally n was told all this information ...

Hi I’m a newbie here! I juz registered my dotter in GPS n hope to get thru without going thru balloting. We staying 1 km frm the Sch n took us 5 mins walking to the Sch. To be frank GPS not our 1st n 2 nd choice but Schs of our choice are 2 km away n i’m not taking the risk. I hope I making a rite choice putting my child in GPS n hope to knw more about the Sch curriculum n activities caters for P1 students.

. Usually if a Sch conduct a balloting parents r welcome to witness it. Usually the Sch write down the registration number or the child name in a piece of paper n rolled it ( juz like a lucky draw paper) n put inside a clear box for ballot. As for this year Singapore citizen child got two piece of paper n PR as usual only 1 paper in the ballot box

Registered my child in Endeavour Pri. We reached there around 3.30pm to avoid the morning crowd.

My guts feeling tell me, it gonna be balloting since we are the 299 parents to registered for phase 2C on first day and we staying 2km frm the sch.

True enough around 6pm received SMS msg frm the sch as they receiving 153 appln for students staying 1km.Vacancy for phase 2C is 148.

Guess, not our luck.

Im typing this frm the SMS msg I received frm the sch at 6pm :

Dear parent, we would like to inform you that at the end of today P1 registration, the sch received appln frm 153 children(living within 1km) for 148 places.This means that a ballot exercise will take place for these children.We would like to advise those living outside of 1 km to withdraw tomorrow,so that they can re-apply immediately at Phase 2C at another
sch.
