I went thru the same exercise when we were registering my girl for P1 2years ago. I was fr STC pri. I sent an email to MOE enquiring if I could register in phase 2B for CHIJ Kellock. After a few days later, I rece a phone call from e principal of CHIJ Kellock. She apologized and said I do not have affiliation hence I wld have to register under phase 2C.

My girl is in CHIJ Katong now. We got in via phase 2C

She will have PE 3x per wk and PAL once a wk. She can go to sch in PE attire and pinafore on those days. Hope this helps.

I juz hosted a kids party with about 10 adults, 7 kids. Mostly take-away but i cooked a chicken wing dish and asparagus bacon wrap.


1) Sushi platter - Sakura Fish Mkt
2) Salmon Yusheng - Sakae Sushi
3) Mushroom soup - Soup Spoon
4) Fried Bee Hoon - MIL fried
5) Fishball - Old Chang Kee
6) Cheese Tarts - Flor Patisserie
7) Chicken Wing - DIY
Asparagus Bacon Wrap - DIY

Chicken Wing
- Preheat oven 10min
- Marinate with oyster sauce, soya sauce, fish sauce, pepper, chicken powder (Knows brand)
- Cook for about 12 min

Asparagus Bacon Wrap
- Cut the asparagus to desired length
- Boil the asparagus (do not overcook)
- Wrap bacon round 3-4 sticks of asparagus
- Fried it under low fire
- remember to choose streaky bacon instead of back bacon. tried several types of bacon from different supermarket. Cold Storage still has the best bacon, not too salty and just the right size.

The Principal is nice, the school is clean and love the teachers n place. They've expanded.

I received the letter, my girl will be in Jonquil 1 or known as JO1.

I hope to be around! It's really near my EDD for my #2... so may have to rely on the husband to take notes instead.

I'm actually really excited to have my daughter go to the same school as I did and see her in the convent uniform. It's different now, though, the school badge is no longer pinned on, the school is bigger (has renovated since). And I'm curious as to which class she ends up in and if she will be in the class that I was in for the 6 years I spent at the school. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she'll get one of the nicer teachers I had who is still there... and not the super fierce ones (who is still there too!!!). But it all creates great memories, to laugh and reminisce with my group of girl friends I've grown up with, seen get married, have kids... and meeting again tonight for dinner.[/quote]

My girl is successful at 2C too, no need to go thru balloting, no heartaches nor sweaty palms! So far, I'm v happy that i made this decision to place her at KC.

I'm a convent girl too (although not KC), i thoroughly enjoyed by convent days and certainly hope my girl will enjoy her days at KC.

i bot P&J series books fr 2nd hand bookstore at bras basah. $2 each. There are some books that are in not-so-good condition but good enough for general reading.
