My child is completing her P1 this year in DLSS.

Would like to give away her textbooks (condition 7-8/10) to anyone interested in them for
      P1 (year 2016).

Am not too sure if I have the full/right set; so please take at your own 'risk'.

Interested, please pm me. Cheers! :imcool:

      What happened?

So far my child who is in P2 has never encountered
things being stolen.... normally he loses things on his own
      but not stolen....

anyway, according to my ds, if u lose any of yr stuff, u can
try locating for it at the \"lost & found\" place. a couple of times
my ds misplaced his water bottle, he found it at the \"lost & found\".

yes baby2momma, already about 5 times now (not mentioning his other small stuffs that went missing) since he first entered P1 😞

the 3 times were his rice cracker snack in his snack box, the snack box was in his bag, during recess they were gone for 3 consecutive days! in fact on the second day i put it in the deepest part of his bag. On the 3rd day I placed a trap with ink, but I was very disappointed that even the teacher cannot catch the thief by looking at the stained on the hand (the stain should hv been very visible cos I tested it myself), the excuse was that because some of the classes were having exams so they cannot check, but for sure the kid is not from his class).

The other two times was his money in his wallet and his small encyclopedia book. I hv reported this to his teacher, but so far none were solved. They were cheap stuffs, but I can see that my son is a bit put off with the \"unsafe\" environment. Since the \"rice cracker\" incident he has been keeping his bag in the staff's room, which I find that it did not help with anything.

i asked him to go to the lost n found but the item was not there. well according to him the book was with his other stuffs (the book was underneath his snack box and water bottle).

money was stolen too? then it is a real problem if it involves money
since I can't imagine children at that young age wld fully comprehend
      the importance of money yet.....

think shld really talk to the teachers again since u r rite in saying
it does affect your child somehow in terms of how \"secured\" he will
      feel in school......

Disappointed with a Chinese teacher in DLSS

2 days ago, a teacher confiscated my son's badminton racket and was told that she will keep it for one month. On the very day, I was doing parent volunteer in the school. Since I am in the school, I went to the general office to request to see this teacher. The clerks there was very helpful to help me locate this teacher. But very sadly is, even i was already in the school, she refused to see me. I waited nearly one hour in the general office for her to come out from the teacher's room. She still refused to return the racket to me no matter how i explained to her. She was very unfriendly and refused to compromise. In the end, she insisted that she want to return only on the next day in front of the whole class to teach them a lesson from this incident....
But was told by my son that she did not return to him in front of the whole class and didn't even use this to educate the class as what she said she will do.

I am very disappointed with her rude, arrogant and stubborn attitude towards parent. Maybe teachers are too proud to admit their mistake?
And does confiscating items for one whole month reasonable? 😞

Did the teacher explain why she confiscated your son's badminton racquet?

My boys are taking bus 7...

And I am staying near South View LRT station which is much nearer to the school.

I don't think the school will help us even if we raise it up to them.

      My poor children... 😞
if i'm not wrong, there are like 7 buses catered for shuttling kids to & fro school & home; so i guess it really depends on how the bus operators decide on their routes & all.

I can really understand parents who need to wake younger kids up early.... not easy..... even tho my ds has to only wake up at 6.15 to prepare, i'v already got a hard time pulling him out of his bed.... :?:

      Hi all,

My boys are currently taking bus 7 to school. The school hour starts at 7:45am but the bus come at 6:15am to pick them up. My boys have to wake up 5 plus to prepare. My P5 is still alright with it but for my P2, he is really feeling super tired and no mood to go to school every morning. Is the bus picking them up too early?
      Anyone have the same problem?
Hi, my ds's school bus picks my ds at 7.00am & I guess it is pretty fair...
Which bus is your boys taking?

Yup! the parent notification still with me and very clear stated that if the child already attending swimming lessons outside school or has obtained bronze, silver or gold certificate then no need to join.
      hehehe...paiseh hor disappear sooo long...
and wow! yr bb is 6 mths old already?? cool !
      who's looking after? nanny?

ok, since if the PN says so, I will clarify with his form teacher again & will then not let my child attend the swimming classes since the transporter & school do not seem to be in line with each other. Tks Anna & u hv pm too!

      hello, all…

i called school & they said swimming is compulsory for all P2s…
even if the child already has attained bronze, silver, etc…
transportation is a real headache as I already spoke to my child’s
bus transporter & it really is a lot of hassle…sigh.
