Made a trip down to Bibinogs at UE square to check out the place and was not really impressed with the place especially the mandarin teachers. Most of them are from China and I really wonder if they are qualified enough to teach our kids. The reason why I’m saying this is because I found out that some of these teachers from China have absolutely no teaching background and relevant qualifications to begin with. I feel that with the shortage of mandarin teachers in Singapore, schools are just hiring anyone who can speak mandarin without really assessing if they are qualified enough. Quite scary to think that your child is being taught by some one with no proper credentials…

I’m using a top load Fisher & Paykel washing machine. Been using it for close to 2 years and so far so good. It has handwash, delicate,regular and heavy duty functions among many other functions. Worth the $$ spent…

My child is currently in my first skool at westgate. My child loves going to school and the teachers are good. Its a very new and clean centre. So far, everything is great except for the principal. Find it hard to believe she can actually be a principal of a child care centre with her standard of spoken English and her unfriendliness. To make things worse,I feel she does not care for the children or even bother to get to know the children. It feels like she’s just mechanically doing her job and not making any effort to build rapport with the kids and parents unlike in other schools. I would say she has zero EQ. Luckily, she’s rarely at the centre so I won’t have to see her much.
