    • RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take

      Bigpond:
      Hi patlsy79,

Thank you for your straight forward answer!

So should I just secure a place in a neighborhood school under P2A2 on next Monday. Monitor the no. of vacancies for Fairfield Methodist and other nearby schools after P2B. I can do withdrawal from this neighborhood school if there are chance for others under P2C right? Registrations are not on a first come first serve basis, so I can try my luck on the 2nd day of P2C. Let's pray!

In the event that my child doesn't get into the preferred school, can he transfer after P1 or P2? How?
Bigpond, how do u secure a place at a neighbourhood sch? P2A2 is for old boys/girls. Unless u are talking abt P2B using grassroots. Then it's possible.

is it everyone that apply can get it or is there selection criteria?

There is a limit to the number of member per rc or nc (i think its 30)..... Is usually not easy to get in...

If u are lucky & itz during the renewal of term u probably stand a higher chance ba. Coz they oso take this opportunity to sweep out those sleeping members.

      Libratigger:
      Dear all,

I have this question and hope someone can help clarifies. I understand that GRL can only serves in the GRC that he/she resides in. And Phase 2B is only applicable to the schools within the GRC. However, I came to realise that a person I know has managed to serve in another area and successfully applied to a school that is not within the GRC that he/she is serving. They have relocated to a unit near the choice school within 1km.
Point : volunteer do not reside in the GRC nor the school is within the serving GRC. Neither has \"connection\"
Is there a loophole or possibility that we could do such an arrangement?

      Thanks
Very simple. He is either a CCMC or CCC member. Only such member is allowed to apply for a school within the GRC that he stays AND the GRC that he volunteer in. Of course the distance plays a part too.

Just got my KW BM250 at Robinsons last sat. $141.55 after the 5% rebate for Robinsons members. Been waiting till my neck almost gonna drop off. Think this is the best price I ever seen. Hv been baking bread the last 4 days using this machine & I’m loving it to bits! The whole family is enjoying all the homemade bread now. Very worth the $ spent.
