Well, life will never back to "Normal" again even if all roadblocks are being cleared.

I'm a bit surprised that I can see a forum here with close to 30 pages of postings about the recent movement at HK. As a HongKonger who has been living at Singapore for years, some of my local friends also ask me what is happening really at HK now. It is always easier to explain that by a \"story\" :

One day there is a Boss tells his staffs \"Hey Guys, I'm going to buy you dinner tonight!\" Everyone is so excited about it.
Finally is dinner time, all staffs sit around the table and wait for the big feast. When the food comes.... !? There is only BREAD ! Some staffs start to complain to their Boss \"You said you'd buy us dinner, I thought there should be steak, lobster or roast chicken! It can't be just bread right !!\" But their Boss said \"Well I did say buy you dinner, and you can obviously fill up your stomach with bread can't you? So you can't say I lie! Guys you better start eating. I may give you some butter later if I'm in a good mood. If you are not eating then I'll take away the bread, that means you guys will have nothing!\"
Some of the staffs are really mad with that, and they start to occupy the kitchen. Many other staffs support that (or at least not against that) in the first place as most of them feel like being cheated.
However their Supervisors, who have been taken care so well by the Boss during normal days, are also asking the staffs to eat like their Boss. (Unlike the staffs, these Supervisors can obviously afford to have a buffet or something outside the Company. Will they care even if there is only bread on the table?!)
As time goes by more and more staffs start to feel really hungry and bread is probably better than nothing. So at the end everyone is eating bread, like nothing has happened at all. Boss is still the Boss, Supervisors are still Supervisors, and staffs are .... still staffs...
Well I don't know the end of this story. It depends on the staffs, especially those young one. They can change the times, if they want to...
Please visit those \"occupied areas\" at HK in person if you can, in particular Admiralty. Experience the atmosphere there, you will see something that you can't see in the news.
