may i check if Dunman High has an O level track? Checked everywhere on MOE and sch website but they are all silent on this. If one fails in IP track, what happens?
Also, trying to understand chances of DSA through leadership or biculturalism, anyone can kindly shed some light?
1. If the child has no competition experience, but was awarded "Best in Chinese" consistently in Primary School since P1 - will the child stand a good chance?
2. The child is a prefect and has been monitor, junior leader, junior prefect since P1, will the child stand a good chance? She is now a normal prefect but not holding any Committee positions.

RE: 2020 PSLE Discussions and Strategies(for those born in 2008)
I have the same questions - anyone find the revision programmes by tuition centres useful? Learning Lab runs intensive revision programmes for all the subjects but they are so expensive! Also i am trying to send DD (PSLE this yr) to compo writing classes. Any kind mummies want to share which is good in the east?

RE: DSA 2020 - NUSH
DD’s overall for P5 (2019):
English 86
Chinese 94
Higher Chinese 72
Math 89
Science 85
She is a prefect but no other competition etc kind of portfolio
1. Any hope of DSA bilingualism into Dunman High or Nanyang Girls? Should we even try?
2. I read Dunman High published about commitment to study Chinese Lit if DSA via bilingualism. Any such commitment by Nanyang Girls?
Thanks. -
RE: Seek help for primary 4 slow learner
All mummies
i am seeking help here. DS is slow in speech and walking and missed these 2 miletones in his toddler years. Now he is in P3, he is failing his subjects in school. At end of P1, we had him tested at DAS but assessment for dyslexia was withheld as the pyschologist felt he might have visual processing issues and did not want to label him.
He is having support in school for reading and remedial.
I am now very vexed which path to move forward:
(1) to get another educational pyschologist to test him (either DAS or private. I was told this report can be then used for his P6 MOE PSLE access arrangements - valid till then though done at P3.)
(2) to start him on occupational therapy at Dynamics (I was told by Dynamics no need for another fulll assessment just start on OT but not clear what help they can render and I think it will be a long journey before we see results.)
(3) to start him on English tuition on 1-to-1 basis (now he only attends group chinese tuition).
I am highly skeptical of private practice to be honest -
RE: Tao Nan
Hi all
May i ask if it is allowed to quit CCA at P5? DS mentioned quite a few of her friends quitted their CCA last wk when CCA just commenced. She is hence wanting to quit too. Reason seems to be too much time commitment as sch wants to win SYF so impose on child 2 CCA days and holiday practice esp for P5 and P6. Any comment? -

RE: All About Life Without Maids
Zac’s mum, thank you for sharing your secret! I did a small test this morning on my old magic clean stick (which I almost threw away) with a normal babywipe and it seems to work! Thankful for this forum.
I am without a maid for one year exactly now. Reading thru the posts, it seems the mummies shoulder the chores mostly. How do husbands feature in all these? On some days, when I feel down, I feel abandoned as a wife but kept as a maid.
