We have updated the final Phase 2C stats http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event/2015-p1-registration-phase-2c. In general, the competition in Phase 2C this year is one of the lowest we have seen. No school is over 300% oversubscribed.

Let's hope MOE can come out with the balloting list soon so to reduce the stress for parents wondering about the fate of their applications. Hang tight!

i think the 30months effect to close the rental loophole is working. what took them so long to come out with this. all along a lot of pple using it

Hi, my sentiments too... I do know of somebody from my child's kinder using this method to enrol for a popular school. Let's hope MOE will do checks on the registered address.

Sorry but is there any wrong? The parent is entitled to that fair chance just like you.

some ppl just don't understand, every SC stands a equal chance. it does not mean that, u r first to enrol its mean u sure have a seat! or others have to avoid these ppl just becoz they enrolled first. to me, get a lifes and move on 🙂
Acsp (barker)

      30 sc 1km
      3 sc 1 to 2 km
6 sc more than 2 km

I guess balloting is inevitable since there are only 29 vacancies 😢

im sure there will be a few more coming in.
we will be trying ACS pri and I will do the reg tomoro. I don't mind to have ballot, i have no choice! my house was just 2 min walk from ACS pri and I'm prepared for it.

ACS should send a strong message now that it will verify all 1km addresses and any property cheats will be reported to authorities, with consequence of jail term and DS losing place in school.
I think all schools should do that.
U know of someone who register at ACSP who did property cheats?

      Hi there,

      I'm new here.

I would like to check, is there a minimum duration that one need to stay in the rented property when registering for school within 1km? And does the school check or ask on this area?

      Thanks a lot!!

So far, no. There is no minimum duration one needs to stay before and after P1 registration in a rented property. (To me, this is a loophole MOE needs to tighten up).

When i registered my dd1 during P1 reg, the staff only mentioned that school will inform us should balloting to be conducted beforehand so we can decide to withdraw or stay. No question asked if the address was rented. Perhaps, under the P1 registration rules, staying in a rented property is permitted, thus school sees no such needs to ask.

      Hi lee_yl ,

      Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I do agree that this is a big loophole. Initially, I heard that have to stay minimum 2 years in the registered address in order to enrol.

We bought the property and shifted coz we wanted to enrol my gal in the school of our choice this year. But I happened to find out that her classmate (mum is keen to enrol in the same school as us), rented a place near the school last year.

Why they change their mind? was he later than 4.30 pm?

i dont know why everyone keep saying he was late 🙂

    • RE: Anglo Chinese Family of Schools

hi, we are staying within 1km from AJS primary, both my hubby and i was not from ACS. so we can only look forward for phase 2C.

i have been thinking of the chances for us to get our son into ACS but i got no confident at all, as… it seen like most of the old boys, church memeber and etc would have taken up most of the sits for every yrs enrollment. anyone can advise, … parents like us, is there anything else we can do to increase our chance? we are surely staying within 1km, and theres all we have.
      thanks
