Once the kids enter Sec 1, that's the time for us to relax
Hahahaha :rotflmao: no wonder you are in ER (Emergency Room)Snow Crystal:

This is so true and I am speaking from experience. After PSLE is over, you will stress over the results. Then after results are out, you will stress over choice of school. After you have chosen the schools, you will stress over school posting results. By then , it's end of Dec. And when you finally think that the stress is over, the Sec 1 stress begins.
 ....jkjk
Take one step at a time, scale each mountain as it comes lor.
I see PSLE as a journey, for those who embark on this journey together with DS/DD, you will share the laughter and tears of DS/DD. It is one of the rare and last times when you will be this close and involved in his/her life, studies, tuition, school, lessons. After that, most will let go and release the kid in Secondary School, thus the PSLE memory is actually something quite unique to such parents.
and another stress will haunt us later. :nailbite: It's 'O' levels.[/quote]In Sec 1, the stress for the 'O' levels is already on... Haishhh

Don't worry fellow parents:) Something to note is that after PSLE, don't ask your child continuously about what they answered during PSLE. They want all the stress and torture out of their heads:)mn:
6 more months to go for PSLE!!!!! :yikes: Good Luck!!
Thanks, we parents definitely need lots of strength to survive the BIG thing. Stress doesn't end on Oct 2nd or 3rd, there is another stress after that - secondary school posting. -

The circling of tenses can be used in both comprehensions and some grammar questions. Another tip that can be used is that read the questions before the passage. This would narrow down the criteria and what to search for in the passage.
Hi,belieber13:
I'm in secondary1 now, but after reading all your comments, I can advise that for English, it is much easier to write small notes at the side and what can help is that the child highlights the 4W1H and circles the tenses. For Maths, slowing down and reading the question helps a lot. For Science, I agree with beanbear. Patterns must be seen in order to answer the questions correctly.
All the best to all the mums,dd and ds!
Pls help to ellaborate what you mean by 4W1H (sorry don't understand the abbreviation) and circles the tenses for English paper?
Where can this strategy be used? -
