RE: Raffles Girls' School (Secondary) [*IP]
Hi current RGS parents, understand from some girls that they have to do VIA hours even though RGS is a through train sch and the VIA hours will not affect them. Any one knows why the sch still insist on the VIA thing?
Thanks -

hey, Jetstar flies to Gold Coast directly from SG.Hi,
Planning a trip to Gold Coast in December with the family, and I am surprised SIA don't fly direct there. Also, to find out that only Scoot flies direct to OOL from Singapore.....very sad. Anyway, does anyone know what is the best way to get from Brisbane to Gold Coast? If land transfer, does anyone have any driver to recommend? We don't plan to drive. Thanks!! -

I beg to differ. At such young age, everything is interesting and exciting for them. Even running round the park or building sand castle is awesome. Taking things slow and easy will actually work out well.
Actually such young age, there's nothing much u can do at Gold Coast , even in the themepark. clubmed better optionblessmum4:
I have two young kids - 20months old, and 3.5 yrs. and I am looking for a short holiday with them in June/ July period. Is gold coast recommended? and what are the places you recommend for such young kids?
Is renting car a necessity?
It can be challenging travelling with young kids ( their naptimes/ crankiness/ food options etc) so I am hoping for simple/ less stressful arrangement but yet fun and enjoyable for them.
Hope if anyone can share some tips/ experience . Thanks ahead!
In Gold Coast, the older one will probably enjoy both Movie World and Sea World, while the younger one will love Sea World. Dream World may not be that suitable (even though there are 'family' elements). And if they love animals, Australia Zoo ('The Crocodile Hunter') would be interesting (2hrs drive from the Gold Coast). But if your are not renting a car, it may be out of the way. To rent a car or not would depend largely on your planned itinerary.
Yes I agree if thats what Jphua looking at. running around and playing sands castle.. but not forgetting its winter and sea water freezing. Besides the beautiful beach in Gold Coast, other activities will be the currumbin wildlife, the 5 worlds, activities up at the Tamborine (horse riding age min and forest adventure). can visit glow worm too.
however, if u thinking of really fuss free, i think the kids will enjoy clubmed style more as they have activities for that age group.
just my penny worth of suggestion. -
