we should give the new Principal a chance. I believe she does have the interest of the school and will be able to lead the teachers to educate our children.

The overall T scores are lower than last year across all the schools in Singapore. I do not think the principal should be questioned about the results. The school results are based on the cohort and the cohort is different every year.

As for transferred students, it has always been around the same number transferred each year. So that does not explain the lesser number of students with 3A*. There are students with 2A2A and the T-score is above 250.

So in short, there could be more students with scores above 250 but do not have 3A
      .

Also, the average mean score of 220 this year is already an improvement from last year which was 216.6 (as shown in slides during PSLE release last year). The percentage going to express stream has also increased from 79% to 84%.

Is the English paper considered tough for P3 level? I am rather worried with my child’s results. The mean score for CA1 was around 60 and this time round, it looks like around the same score. The mean for paper 2 was around 39/65, that is 60% too. Something must be wrong. Is it the whole cohort is weak in English? Or the paper is difficult or there is something wrong with the Englush program in school?

No, I think it is still restricted to the 2 best classes. The Onsponge book appears in both book lists except that it is an optional item in the P3 book list as compared to compulsory item in P3S book list.

Well guess those who are not in the top 2 classes will have to purchase the book and do it on our own. And I agree that they do test such challenging questions in exams. It is unfair but we cannot do much.

      Not really true.

The top girl in my child’s class goes to 3Achieving and her position in standard is odd number.

My child’s best subject is Maths and is going to 3 Gracious. The other girl in class has highest in Chinese is going to 3 Gracious too. So I don’t think it is divided according to best subject scored.

Well, if it is pure coincidence that majority of kids going to 3 Achieving and 3 Sincere comes from the same class, then this class must have a team of star teachers that can create such results! Talk about being secretive in their allocation.

If 8 classes, the number of students in each class will be at least 42 then. 2 top classes, 4 mixed and 2 bottom classes.
